Jim 'N Nick's in Alabaster. We went there for a late lunch. I don't think we have been there before and we were anxious to try the BBQ. My sister ordered a BBQ sandwich. She said it was AWESOME!!!. Wouldn't quit talking about how she enjoyed the potato salad. Sweet tea great. I think you could of/should of added a bit more for a serving of the delicious Banana pudding.

The food was delicious but the service & way of ordering was terrible. We hated ordering at the counter and making our own drinks. That completely takes away from the cozy atmosphere we’ve always gotten at other Jim N Nick’s locations. The server that brought our food acted like she had no clue of anything. We saw her when she brought the food, then right at the end she began clearing our dishes while we were still finishing up eating. I had to ask that she didn’t take the food I was still eating. Also, what happened to the basket with biscuits & butter you used to get before the meal? They brought 2 biscuits shoved onto our salads. No butter! I had to ask for some. Please go back to the old way. And please owners don’t change the Trussville,Huntsville & Prattville locations to the way this one is. Jim N Nicks is our favorite bbq restaurant ever, but not if they all change to this style. If we had wanted fast food, we would have eaten at McDonald’s. If all locations change to this style, we will have to find another favorite????

I just so not like how much Jim ‘N Nicks has changed from a family friendly restaurant to a place that makes you feel like cattle! Having to stand in line in front of the entrance in order to place an order and having to pay extra for bread is just sad. I still like the food, but would take it to go since they are pretty much the same as a fast food chain now.

I will always recommend for everyone to try their biscuits! They are so good! This is the best bbq I've ever tasted and it's beautiful on the inside. They serve food on cute little trays and you go ahead and pay for your food first so it makes it even easier to enjoy dinner without having to flag a waitress down.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Party of 10 and two were served quickly while others had a long wait. My baked potato wasn't hot and small amount of sour cream and cheese. Was a good lunch.

some items were missing from our to-go order, but i specifically came here to give the manager of the night Ashley a shout out. amazing customer service and she even said the next time we place an order to call them and she would personally check the order. 10/10

My family has been patrons of several Jim n Nicks for many years, so we kind of know the drill. I though it was odd that when in Covington, GA. my salad with brisket had a different cut of meat than the more lean flank steak style brisket from the past I've really enjoyed for years. Not too much fat so I didn't complain. Fast forward to this meal. The Brisket was 60% fat and gristle. The relatively new waiter informed me that it was because I hadn't ordered lean meat. Never have had to do this in the past. While he got me replacement meat that was leaner, it was only 40% fat and gristle. I hope this in not a sign of the quality that corporate bean counters are aiming for now that the wonderful Jim n Nicks has become owned by a conglomerate franchise operation. All the other food was good.
