I can not take the credit for finding TJ's Homestyle Restaurant, but I am glad that my girl picked this one out. We went there for breakfast the other day, and I had the Big Breakfast, and she had the VIP pancake combo. The big breakfast came with two big sausage links, two strips of bacon, a slab of ham, three eggs cooked your way, and hashbrowns with toast or buttermilk pancakes. It took me back to a time when I was a teenager, and my grandma or mom was cooking breakfast for us. Simply the best!!! It's so good, in fact, that I wanted to go again the next day, so we did. This time, I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and hashbrowns, and she had the meatloaf with eggs and hashbrowns. They were both very tasty, but on this occasion, the star of the show was the fresh made cinnamon roll with butter and icing slathered all over it. It was piping hot and oh so good. You must try it asap!!! The best way I can put it is the way a nice older lady said to us, once she saw we ordered it. She said she always orders the cinnamon roll with the sole intention of taking it home so her daughter can try it, but before her daughter gets home, she has already eaten it. No better endorsement, in my opinion.

Followed someone’s recent review and looked into trying this lil spot. I mentioned it to my guy and added it to our list of places to go. Well we stepped out with intentions to go to breakfast at a place we had been to before. While en route, my detoured with a change in mind to come to TJs. We’re so glad we did. The service was great! Other guests even were really nice and greeted us. It was really quiet when we got there but the place began to fill up after a while. The food was simple but great. Coffee was really good as well. This is not far from us so we’ll definitely be back. Loved the vintage decor as well.

this is my third time here at TJ‘s and the service is absolutely amazing! I always get an egg and meat breakfast and I always get the biscuits and gravy! They are very yummy, but I would like to point out how amazing our waitress Maria was! She has been my waitress twice and she’s the best! But she always jokes around with the kids and has the best personality????❤️❤️❤️ She only works Friday Saturday and Sunday so that’s the only time I go! Always keep her

Our server, Erica was great! I tried the impossible burger. It was good but the kitchen forgot my onion rings. Hubby had the Open faced hot turkey sandwich and it was very good. Half of the sandwich is in the picture.

Big portion, big price, and it evens the score. Delicious food, well worth the drive and the staff is super friendly!

When I first moved to Avondale I was very curious of this place, I was even skeptical. One day after a long overnight shift I decided to go and I didn't regret it! The calm atmosphere with the background music really brung back some nostalgic memories. The country feel is to die for. I HIGHLY Recommend the hit chocolate with whip cream ???? The parking is very small and wonky so get there as soon a possible because it does get busy!

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, fast service and excellent breakfast! FYI the caramel roll is huge! It fed 4 of us.
