This place is cute, very home-y and definitely has a Louisiana vibe. I’ll try to add photos. Our waiter Chris was so vibrant and kind and I honestly thought he owned the place, he seems to love his job and just a nice human being.
The food was OMG DELICIOUS ???? fresh and tasty and ingredients. Best food we’ve had since we moved here from KC a few months ago. My husband had the snapper and holy cow it was phenomenal. I had the jambalaya and fried okra and that made my soul happy. The hush puppies are soooo good and the tartar sauce is yummy! I will definitely be back soon! They were out of peach cobbler but I can’t wait to try it. The cook is definitely from Louisiana for sure!

The food was excellent. Never had a bad experience until today. I ordered a Sprite, and I got a Sprite. Server asked if i would like a refill. I said yes. It never came. I asked three times after that for a refill. On the third try, she brings the check and a to-go box. Im an excellent tipper, but not today.

Took my daughter here for her birthday lunch. I got some catfish strips and she had the Crab Landry. Both were very good! We also shared a plate of fried green tomatoes, which were delicious.

It's a cute little place. I am looking forward to visiting again with the whole family.

The quality, service, and atmosphere of this restaurant used to be spectacular. However, today was the second time in a row that I ordered from here and the quality of the food was disappointing. I ordered a shrimp and fish dinner to go. When I got home and opened the box, I was immediately faced with an atrocious smell. It smelled as though the food had been cooked in very old cooking oil and the shrimp smelled of sewage. I called to report it and an employee simply stated, "There's nothing we can do about that." When I informed the employee that her response was unacceptable she replied by saying, "I'll let my manager know when she gets here in the morning. She may take care of it if she's in a good mood." Finally, the employee told me she was busy and hung up on me. Flavors of Louisiana used to be one of the best restaurants in the valley. Sadly, the quality has drastically declined over recent months.

I can't rave enough about the food here. The etouffee keeps me coming back. When introducing friends and coworkers, I enjoy seeing the facial expressions after the 1st bite.
All those flavors melding together make my heart happy. I can taste the love and patience in these recipes.
Amanda is always amazing. Each time I feel as though I'm invited to sit down at a friend's dinner table

First time eating there, good food not spicy as I was hoping but the fried green tomatoes was very good. The sweet tea was good. Gumbo, jambalaya and shrimp creole was not seasoned enough. Service was great, friendly, and helpful.

Went in for lunch today and the service was great. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Wifey ordered the trio and I ordered the shrimp with the side of okra and everything was delicious Its been over 10 years since we've been there, not because the food was bad but because we had moved away. It was good to come back to that side of town and have a great lunch.

Brief review: it was okay, but not okay enough for us to go back.

Longer version: Stopped in a couple Saturdays ago, around 4:30. There was a "please wait to be seated" sign which was funny because in that large space there was only one other customer. There were three employees in the back, talk. We were seated quickly. I enjoyed the decorations but the temp inside made me wonder if their a/c was broken.

The first red flag was when we ordered sweet tea & they delivered us unsweet tea with sugar packets. Huh? Why have sweet tea and unsweet tea on the menu if you're only going to deliver unsweet tea? Having sweet tea on the menu indicates it is already sweet, not a do-it-yourself deal.

The second red flag was the appetizers. We got a dirty plate, the fried green tomatoes were paper thin (there was more crust than tomato), and the hushpuppies were completely bland. Even adding butter was no help.

My sister enjoyed her sausasage po-boy and cajun fries, although the fries were no longer warm. I had seen our food sitting up at their counter and it sat there for some time. I ordered the red bean bowl. Unfortunately, it too was bland. The spicy sausage was barely there and not enough to help with the flavor. I also am certain the beans should not have what looks like a dry outer "growth" to them.

To be fair, no, I have never lived in Louisiana. Maybe the food is how it's supposed to be, but when I think about the meals we had at Baby Kay's, there is absolutely no comparison. If I want cajun food again, Flavors of LA is out. Baby Kay's is in.
