Was recommended by locals and boy were they right. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the outdoors seating was spectacular.
Very much enjoyed eating here. The food has a South American style, I found out the chef is from Ecuador and tasting his dish shows he is very good. The blending of flavors into his style of cooking makes you want to come back for more. This place clearly earned 5 stars on multiple levels.

This is my favorite place to eat in Hot Springs! The Ecuadorian-inspired cuisine is always tasty. Nothing beats sitting out on the hillside patio when the weather is warm! Amendment July 1: stopped in again today while I was in Hot Springs! The Ecuadorian influence is very apparent in the decor in the menu.

The food was good, the atmosphere was nice, trying to find a parking space wasn't the easiest thing (there is a pay lot a block away, but it's a hectic area). The only thing I thought was extraordinary was the presentation of the food, but the taste wasn't as fabulous. Don't get me wrong, it was good, and I might eat here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way just to eat here.

It should be noted, that the outdoor patio is very nice and a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal on a beautiful day or evening, but if you choose to eat outside, be aware that you'll have to go thru the restaurant, out the back, and up what send to be two flights of stairs.

Warning: This review is a little graphic. Proceed at your own risk.

To put it blatantly, I did not have a pleasurable experience at Rolando’s. Even though the entire place is wonderfully decorated and the back patio is beautiful, the establishment is filthy. Cockroaches everywhere! In both bathrooms, in the indoor dining area and outside. I swear I’ve eaten at cleaner places in NYC.

We started our meal with the House Sangria (this was before I noticed the filth) which was widely recommended. It wasn’t my favorite. I found it to be overly sweet, and the fruits didn’t look or taste fresh.

Mom and I both ordered from the House Specials menu - she got Susu’s Enchiladas (flour tortillas, shredded chicken, sautéed with onions, sweet peppers, and green chilies along with cream cheese topped with cheddar cheese and salsa verde, served with black beans and rice, $11.95) This was honestly a very delicious dish. It was incredibly rich and creamy and packed with flavor. I would recommend this.

Unfortunately, my Cuzco’s Fajitas (strips of seasoned chicken, beef* or shrimp grilled with onions and sweet peppers. Served with tortillas, pico, cheese, sour cream, black beans and rice, $13.95) missed the mark. It was presented beautifully however deceiving. It came to me lukewarm, nearly cold. No hot cast iron pan or water. The beef was flavorless and extremely chewy. Furthermore, after eating the few bites I managed to get down, my stomach became enraged and I had to run to the bathroom. Everything came right back up. This is when I noticed the roaches. After hurling up what I thought was all my food I had to double back to a bathroom AGAIN where I did the same thing and noticed more damn roaches. I spent the remainder of the day in bed with a garbage can by my side.

One time was enough. I don’t live in the area, but if I did I wouldn’t return.

The food is amazing! And our sever was really nice and attentive. Sitting on the back patio was not as fun as I expected. The ground is broken rocks, and it's really uneven, and the tables are small. However, I would still recommend this place for the food alone.

So good! Recommended from friends that visited before. We sat on the patio and it was so nice. The food was amazing. One of those places you’ll remember the food you ate for a while.

I had a great time and a great meal. I asked for a Bloody Mary that wasn’t too strong. The bartender made that perfectly. I ordered the “Atkins plate”. It was such good food. Pork, chicken, shrimp, and guacamole. Everything was delicious! Sadly I could only eat about 1/3 of it because there was just too much food! Being from out of town, I had no place to take it to eat again. I’m not much of a leftover fan, but that I’d have gladly eaten again.

NOT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT - and absolutely delicious/perfect that way. A completely different taste profile as well as presentation. Thoughtful, nourishing, and flavorful. Staff was very attentive from the moment we walked in, clearing a table so we could sit and enjoy the chips and salsa. Taquitos were perfectly crispy.
