Sunday breakfast was Exceptional! Party of 2 adults and one 2 year old. Had chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits. Child had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle and added the optional fruit cup.

When I think of a waffle, this is the waffle I have in mind, utter Perfection! Sausage patties were lovely, well seasoned and with a bit of spice. Also perfection in my book. The fried chicken is truly prepared in the best southern way. My shrimp and grits were complex in flavor and the lumps of crab meat were tender, sweet & nothing short of delightful.

Well Done! I am particular and this place was such a treat. I appreciate the craft of Cahawba’s cooking and in my opinion. All the dishes we had were well executed not to mention the “on point” mimosa. Thank you for provided a quality dinning experience from start to finish.

We dinned early Sunday morning, highly recommend that time frame.

Stumbled upon this gem that's been here for years. Ordered a double decker pimento grilled cheese sandwich and fries. It was good but I immediately had buyers remorse when I saw my friends meatloaf sandwich. I tasted his and it was amazing. I will be back for one of those.

Hubby and I ate brunch here for the 1st time. Food was yummy! Staff was amazing! Love the vibe here. We'll be back!

This place is quite busy. There was 1 guy working 10+ tables on the inside and outside. We waited 25 minutes for a table and another 15 minutes for food. We tried the chicken and waffles, smash burger, and chocolate pie. The winner was the chocolate pie. Its creamy filling and meringue top are the things that make this restaurant authentically soul.

The smash burger was juicy and the green tomato was overpowered by the pimento cheese. The waffle (bun) was a great idea for this burger.

The chicken was served juicy and hot. We combined hot sauce in the syrup as a personal preference and it was a great on the chicken.

It takes a lot of patience to eat at this location due to staffing. We were pleased that we waited it out.

The food was less than desirable and extremely disappointing. I was bummed at the wait for 30min for food for it to not be good. Several people wait3d linger and ended up canceling their order.

Stopped by to have breakfast on our way to a family vacation in Florida. All the food was excellent, restaurant was clean, ambiance was inviting, and service was cordial and prompt. Not only were the prices very reasonable, but they even offered a military discount. Spectacular experience!

I love this place. The jellies are a must have with every meal! I like the raspberry ghost pepper. I really respect that they support local artists with art hanging on the wall for sale. The jellies and honey for sale are locally made. Just overall a great locals experience with a multicultural flavor profile.

Pretty hipster place. Perfect place to hang out and drink mimosas. The food was good. Not a whole lot of interaction with the cashier and waitress. It’s good.
