I have grown up eating here. Good home cooked meat and three. The food is fast and delicious every single time. Best sweet tea and friend chicken! My fave is the meatloaf! You need to try it at least once.

I had time for one meal in Montgomery and multiple people directed me to Martin’s. Am so glad they did. I had a huge feast for under $20. “It ain’t food if it ain’t fried,” said a prominent sign. That sums it up pretty well.

Stopped by here 6 years ago and had the best experience but forgot to write a review. This time I came in a few weeks ago and had to be sure to write a review this time. Best Meat and 3 place in the South!! Fried chicken is spectacular!! I describe the service as being treated like a family member they haven't seen for a while. Southern hospitality is great but Alabama hospitality is exceptional.

Went for the first time and I wouldn't go back. It felt like I went back in time and for black people that's never a good feeling. My chicken was fried with corn meal, it was really bad and funny enough it was expensive. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Quintessential home cooking at its finest. Best of everything award! I literally thank the Lord above for saving Martin's Restaurant from closing due to COVID and its aftermath. Just goes to show how incredible the food is and how much Montgomery, AL LOVES this iconic eatery. We love you Martin's Restaurant!!!

The fried chicken is wonderful, but every side tastes like it’s custom made for a dialysis center cafeteria. The service was equally as bland, with a rude busboy with the personality of a brick wall and a waitress who seems consistently disappointed to be at work. I mean really, who complains in front of customers? And then, without giving them a chance to move over, rubs all against them to get past. Genuinely felt like a family dinner, and i hate my family. Fried chicken was good enough to where i may come back one day if my self respect is low enough. I need a nap after this experience.

Love the country and soul food here! Home cooked vegetables and fresh fried whole catfish are my favs! Good customer service, hot and fresh food, and sometimes a wait that's well worth it. Generous portions for reasonable prices. I recommend and will return.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. By far it is the best fried chicken around. But I always get the chicken livers. My boyfriend and I consider it OUR lunch spot and everytime we go in there the staff tell us how adorable we our. ❤️ It’s small town vibes, good southern food the way granny made it growing up! The nostalgia flows the moment I walk in the door. Highly recommended for locals and people just passing through.
