Excellent beers, from multiple genres. Lager, pale ale, IPA, they have exemplary brews of many types. Friendly staff and prices that will have you drinking more than you planned. Haines Brewing has this traveler's stamp of approval!

Fun atmosphere. Outdoor seating with 2 picnic tables on the back deck area. It was pretty busy and not tons of seating.

2 stars because the beer was good. However I would not recommend or return..

The atmosphere and the service of this place was weird and unpleasant. After being informed that they do not do flights, my wife asked for 2 of the of the 5oz beers and he said “no, can’t do, that’s a flight”.. you have to come back after each little pour “not state law, that’s just our policy”.

Cash only.. Which is beyond inconvenient.. after giving him a $50 for the first $6 of beer he only gave back $14 until we corrected him that he was indeed paid with a $50… if you are going to be cash only at least pay attention to what you are handling.

NPR/public AM radio blasting one sided politics in the room.. look, no one cares about depressing news delivered in a monotone voice while trying to enjoy a beer.. stick to music..

Overall this place had the ambiance of a funeral home.. regardless of the cool looking building there was a reason why it was empty and now I know why.

Well how do I start. I never really leave a review. But this needs to be said. Place is NOT Pet friendly. Was told to get out by the owner. So wife went in to grab a beer. Guess what, they wouldn't let her sample any of the beers. So she grabbed a 5 Oz ( which happened to be ok) then she went to pay and she was informed it's a "cash " only bar. Then we noticed a sign that said no cell phone use. I was outside mind u. Cuz I had the Dog. Moral of this story. A sign on the door of these " not allowed things" would have avoided most if not all of the above. Oh yeah, we were there because we were on road for the last 6 weeks and stopped at breweries from MN all way up to AK. Worst brewery experience ever. We will never be back. Last thing, we met another guy in Valdez yesterday that had 2 little dogs he takes everywhere. He said he was there not too long ago and about same things happened to him almost word for word.

My guy LOVES beer, of all kinds. He asked if they offered flights; they don't (which is fine) but the guy went on a bit of a condescending rant about how flights are ridiculous. We ordered a brew and a root beer (for me). The soda was flat and tasted watery. I only drank about 1/4th of it. Husband said the beer was the same - flat and not good (and I have NEVER heard him unlike a beer before!) Tried a different ale; same result. Staff noticed that we left a nearly full glass in the bin on our way out, but made no effort to ask why. So...snooty server, bad product and disinterested staff. Nope

We went here strictly for Sitka Spruce Tip Beer. It was delicious! A nice roomy brewery with seating and good conversation with other cruisers in Haines. Also the brewmaster was good to talk with about different beers. A cool experience at a clean brewery with good beer at fair prices. We hope to return next year too!

Great place to visit. Delicious beers and friendly owners and staff! Definitely stop in and enjoy a cold one and soak in the views.

I love the brewery. Great beer! Especially the spruce tip and black fang. Everyone is always friendly. It has a cool rustic atmosphere with art on display from local artists.
