Walked over to this coffee house from the cruise port and it was worth it. The service was amazing! I can’t stress that enough. I ordered a Mexican Mocha because it sounded interesting. It ended up being something I wouldn’t order again. One of the workers asked how it was without me saying anything to her and I told her that there wasn’t anything wrong with it, but that I wouldn’t probably order it again. Without hesitation she asked if there was something else I’d like to try and made sure we left with coffee we liked! Give this place a try!

The place is nice, you have place to sit inside. There're plugs, but no wifi. The coffee is good, we took cappuccino and americano. It's a bit expensive compared to other places. The people working there are a bit cold but okay. The cookie was amzing!! So so good. It's located downtown, so it's easy to go, and it opens early in the morning.

BS'ed with owner Lee (picture) for long enough to get enough information to get for our trip. Ferry from Bellingham, arrival at 3:30am he was our life ring

We landed by cruise ship in Haines and went ashore . Saw Rusty Compass Coffeehouse and thought we would try it. The staff were friendly ordered a latte and cappuccino. We sat outside a great day great tasting coffee. Also bought some beans to take home. Would I come here again if I had a chance "yes".

A gem of a place. The owner is courteous and the sandwiches and coffee are amazing.

Rusty Compass coffeehouse is a great stop for a hot coffee, Latte, or hot chocolate. The food is served hot with a warming smile and the freshly made pastries are everyone’s delight. We made it to Rusty Compass at least once a day and sometimes twice a day during our stay.

as a southerner, I hold anywhere serving biscuits and gravy to a high standard- and these were great! cute little coffee shop with friendly employees and great drinks. we enjoyed our iced chai lattes and breakfast!

Loved this place! Visited every day I was in Haines. Mocha every time and I got a chocolate chip cookie twice. Staff was super friendly and everything was good. Very accessible if you are anywhere in town.

Internet worked intermittently for me but I read interesting books that were there so not a problem. Be sure to check out the funny coffee bag designs from their supplier as well as the great photography in the back
