Stopped here during lunch while on our cruise. Great place if you are looking to support the locals. Not so great if you want spectacular food. Two of the items on the menu they said their cook didn’t feel like making today. Looked around and everyone was eating fish and chips or chicken strips so I guess that’s what they enjoy serving.
Friendly staff but mediocre food.

Can not say anything regarding this place. We were seated at a long section of tables and given menu's. Two others were seated after us 2 chairs away, were given menu's and water. Then the same person that seated both of us came and took their order, so we left and went to Chilkat Restaurant and Bakery. Service there was much better. Select of food offerings were different but delicious.

Overall not a good experience. I was served a pot full of disgusting hard, inedible rice with very delicious fish, and ho hum stir-fried veggies consisting largely of cabbage. No one came to check on us (my husband's fish and fries were overcooked and greasy too) , so by they time we complained to waitress, all she did was apologize and let the cook know. At bill paying time, when I politely asked, they said they were not going to give a discount, because she doesn't have authority. We had to argue with the manager, who said she couldn't give discounts. When I really wouldn't give up, she finally took the nasty dish off my bill. I give her credit for that though. Just expect mediocre food, and if you don't like it, flag someone down immediately and don't eat it. I was too tired and hungry to argue by the time I got my food! Got my fight back after I ate some ho-hum food though!

The view is lovely. Our server, Kristy, was so extremely rude to us it ruined our meal. The food was mediocre at best. Besides the view, not much going for this place.

This was a fun place with some friendly locals, that had some great stories to hear. Service was great. Good selection of beer. Bartender was amazing. Definitely worth stopping in, if you're in town

I'd leave a minus for service if I could. Got our drinks fairly quickly but 40 minutes later we are still waiting for our appetizer while other tables who arrived after us (20 minutes after us) are eating their meals. Questioned the waitress who rudely says "the bar is full of people too" and then walked away quickly. Yes, we knew the bar was full of people because we saw them first come into the restaurant only to be shown the bar because the restaurant had no table for them. We saw this...meaning those people in the bar also arrived after us. I think the rude waitress forgot to put our order in and if she had just owned up to it we would have been fine with that. Rather, we got a rude, non-sensical comment. Can't rate the food because we just got up and left. I guess we are to blame somewhat for not reading the reviews of this place before going there.

MUST AVOID! Seek out one of the other establishments that will give you a far better experience.

We came to eat dinner here and were told it was a 1.5h wait which we decided was fine and that we would wait (since they had some reservations). We were told at some point to leave and that we are a fire hazard for waiting in the hallway. I asked if we can make a reservation and I was told no and to get out. My friend came back after we left and asked if they could make a reservation, which they allowed for the next day.

We should never have gone back for our reservation the next day, THE EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE! We were seated and provided menus. Everyone chose various things on the menu and when we were ready to order, we were told that 50% of what is on the menu is not available (which meant everyone had to pick something else). We all placed our order and shortly after, two people came in and sat down at a window seat where two other had just left. The server told them they cannot sit there because they haven't cleaned the table yet and the couple responded that the prefer the window seat. The couple moved the dirty dishes off the table to assist the staff so that they could remain at that table. The server responded by saying they will not be served if they do not sit somewhere else. The tone and attitude from the server was completely unacceptable to us the prior day and to the other clients on the following day. I spoke up and told the server that this is not good service. The dishwasher then came out to tell us that we need to do what the server says or we can all leave. I of course was 100% in agreement about leaving and walked out (everyone from my table and the other table followed).

The manager was fine with how we were all treated as well by the way. I do not recommend supporting this business as you may have your evening negatively affected like ours.

The absolute worst restaurant experience in years; with an uninviting, unfriendly and rude server.

We went to the Beer Festival and decided to drop into the Lighthouse restaurant for a meal. We were literally tossed a menu, and the server didn't even bother to ask if we wanted drinks.

We watched her accost a couple of neighbouring tables and were appalled with her behaviour and her language towards the guests. One table with two couples immediately got up and left.

About 20 - 25 minutes later, it was our turn. Everything that we wanted to order was sold out, the female server mentioning that over half of the menu items were no longer available.

We mentioned that it might have been a good idea to let us know this when she dropped off the menus to which she replied "Look, we are really busy tonight and, if you don't like it, you can leave".

Stunned, we asked to speak with management, to which her reply was "the manager is going to tell you the same thing".

Needless to say, we left and went to another restaurant; where we received courteous service.
