Super clean room! Every thing looked and smelled brand new.
We had a great view of the water and mountains from our room.
Breakfast was included, those blueberry muffins are excellent ????
We were able to rent one of their cars which allowed us to see much of haines including 6 bears and a ton of eagles.
The staff is awesome, they picked us up from the fast ferry and also returned us to the ferry the next day.

Will definitely stay here again when we return. Staff treated us like family. Do not rent vehicles in Juneau and ferry to Haines. Instead rent from Captains Choice.

I recently stayed at this Motel on June 24, 2023 during a motorcycle adventure with a friend. We were booked in by an outstanding employee Deani who provided a wealth of information about the Motel, places to eat, sites to see and even a bucket of soap and water to clean off our motorcycles! In fact all of the staff are outstanding. This Motel is an older Motel but very clean and comfortable beds which is all I want in a Motel to get a good nights sleep. Deani takes great pride in her love of the flowers she has planted along the outside corridor in front of the rooms. The breakfast area is clean, organized, and provided a very good variety of fruits, cereals, muffins, coffee and juices.

Unfortunately, a noisy intoxicated guest was booked in at 02:00 next to our room and seemed to be having a meltdown over the telephone as she was crying and yelling. At first I thought a domestic was going on as could be heard through the paper thin walls. Long story short, we were kept awake most of the night. We were hoping this would pass quickly but went on for a couple of hours.

We voiced our concern to the owner in the morning and were not asking for a discount of that nature but were pleasantly surprised when the owner apologized for the situation and waived his booking fee. We had later learned the loud guest was grieving the loss of a friend that was having a celebration of life earlier on in the day. She was brought to the Motel by the Police and provided a room to calm down but didn't as we experienced. In my view, she shouldn't have been booked in under her current condition of intoxication. Other than this isolated incident, I would definitely recommend this Motel as the place to stay in Haines. The views off the balcony are spectacular.

Rented a car from here and it was a great experience! They'll pick you up from the airport and drop you off where you need to go. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Awesome place! Great views, the staff is second to none! Super clean rooms, great breakfast, Great cars rentals, Definitely recommend! Greg is an Awesome Person! Thanks guys

Wow, just wow. The view from the room is breathtaking. The bed, linens, and pillows made it feel like we were sleeping on a cloud. The rooms were very clean and comfy! I would recommend 10/10.

Positive: Unbelievable view of the harbor in the mountains. The most friendly and helpful staff I have ever had at a hotel.

I was semi-stranded due to restrictions crossing into canada. The owner of captains choice not only hooked me up with a room for cheap but he also gave me some free service for my jeep wrangler. it was a beautiful location. We saw some whales and the restaurants and shops were nice. If I end up driving back through that location I am staying at this place again. Thank you to the people of Captains Choice.
