I would like to say that I've been coming to this establishment since they opened. I've become friends with the owner. I've watched her highs and lows with this business. Their food is amazing. I have had very few problems over the last 5 years with food and when I have I have politely expressed it with my server or the owner. They were gracious to resolve it. Prices rise and lower. Worker turn over is common in every restaurant. Just know for La Calle, their food is fresh and made with love for their customers❤️

Their Caldo de Res ( beef and veggies soup) is a must! Definitely has the homemade touch that will lift your spirit up! Their tacos are also delish ????????and the service is great!

This place is so bad. The food is below average. The queso tastes like it was poured out of a can and had been sitting in the open all day. How do you serve cold queso?

I had a chicken quesadilla that was 95% vegetable and the chicken was pure rubber. Not to mention there was about a gallon of grease underneath it. This place is good if you have no taste buds. The cashier also sneezed all over the bar multiple times so take that for what you will.

Great late night eats!!
We had 4 street tacos (pork, steak and pork/ sausage were SO good!!). We also ate pork and chicken enchiladas and tried all 4 hot sauces !
Seth Rogen is the manager, I swear it’s him!!

The staff were friendly. Ordered the fajita steak with rice and refried beans. The rice and drink were the only decent parts of the meal. The steak was terrible (not carne asada as described by the staff). Nearly all the pieces of steak had hunks of fat within them, and all were chewy. The refried beans had a sweet taste. It's definitely not worth the money spent and won't be back.

Food, atmosphere and service were all excellent! The ONLY issue was the chips have to be paid for and they were SO salty and im pretty sure store bought. This was our first time going but we will be returning. Thank you so much for doing local flavor coupons!!!

They are highly over priced. Drinks are too expensive not to taste the alcohol in at. They're literally $4-$5 higher than any other mexican restaurant. They don't even serve chips n dip ???? I've been to nicer communities Mexican restaurants and paid a lot cheaper. However, they do have great customer service.

This is my go-to spot anytime I’m in the area. I have been coming here since they opened and the food is consistently amazing. Maria took the time to explain the new menu items to me and made some great recommendations. This place is an absolute treasure and one of the best restaurants in Birmingham.
