This place is the real deal! We dined in, and the service was fantastic. We had the Sunday Special which was chicken wings, pan fried potato cubes, braised cabbage, and black-eyed peas mixed with okra, all of which were absolutely exquisite. One bite of the food, and it became very clear that these cooks are true professionals with great attention to detail. The chicken was perfectly crisp and seasoned on the outside yet piping hot and tender on the inside. Even our extremely picky toddler enjoyed the food (yes, it was THAT good). And their old-fashioned sweet lemon tea was to die for. It's a short drive for us, so we will probably be regulars here in no time. Can't wait to go back. FYI, their menu is cyclical (i.e. winter menu, spring menu, summer menu, and fall menu). And then I believe their Sunday menu changes on a weekly basis.

UPDATE: Came back less than a week later and had two items from the Spring Menu, blackened salmon (which did not disappoint), and my wife had the Jerk Salmon Salad with fried plantains. Our son (toddler) had the My 3 Son's Chicken Fingers and Fries... I had one of the chicken fingers, and it was absolutely delicious! And Fried Apple Pie for dessert... Mmmmmmm.......

I recently visited Refined to Go an all I can say is that it was a truly amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious . All the food was good, but the dessert was heavenly. It really melted in my mouth! The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff that made us feel right at home. Highly recommend Regined to Go to anyone looking for a great meal! Refined to go is a great place to eat! We most definitely eat here again real soon.
Oh on Sundays they have soul food. Can't wait to try them on Sundays.

First time I've ever been here and was warmly greeted by the who I assume is the owner and head chef. He took our order and he came back to check on us several times. Food was excellent ???? definitely the best in Shelby county. The wife and I will be returning.

When I tell you that this is the best food that I have had anywhere in Shelby County, I mean it. This food is so good. I had the fish tacos and my husband ordered the blackened chicken alfredo. We split the fried green tomato salad and a creme brulee for dessert.
Everything about the food was phenomenal and Chef James is delightful and personable. Can't wait to make this my new go-to for delicious food that I don't have to cook myself!

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and excellent service!!! I was visiting from Houston and was lucky to find this place. I will definitely be back during every visit to Helena!

Great food and great service. My husband and I wanted take out food, not fast food, but also didn’t want to drive to birmingham to get it. I called right at opening on a Saturday night and it was ready within 30 mins. Cooked fresh and the taste was phenomenal! I had the blackened salmon and my husband had the blue cheese burger (he chowed it down before I could get a pic). Support Chef James, he’s a great cook and we are lucky to have him in Helena!

Don’t even know where to begin! Flavors were off the chart! To tried the Boom Boom Fish tacos and the Blackened Catfish on cheddar grits with okra, sweet corn and tomato stew! Super cute family owned restaurant! Helena is lucky to have this addition! SUPPORT LOCAL

Insanely good! Had the Catfish Gumbo…one of the best dishes I’ve ever had…and I’ve had plenty! The catfish was crispy and hot and served over chicken and sausage gumbo with rice and cornbread. Sooooo good! #eatlocal
