Ramona is the best! The food was phenomenal, and the Jubilee Beast was delicious. Try it if you're a fan of Bloody Marys and you won't be disappointed. The Swamp Soup was incredible and the whitefish basket was plentiful. Not at all pretentious, and awesome decor. Go for some great food and wisdom.

The food is awesome. Had the large Bayou basket I'll be able to get two more meals out of it.But nothing compares to Ramona she is by far the most pleasant person I have ever met. If you want five star service ask for her

The menu was limited, but what they do serve will fill you up! We will definitely be back! From the hostess to the waitress to the food, everything was great! The waitress was patient and kind answering all of our questions too.

We started with an appetizer of gator bites. They were breaded and tasted great. I ordered the river burger and it was bigger than my hand! My husband ordered the seafood basket which had 2 filets of fish, fried oysters, shrimp, okra, french fries, hush puppies and a cup of cole slaw. My son ordered the large seafood bayou basket. It included everything the seafood basket has plus includes a stuffed crab, frog legs and gator bites. All of the meals came with swamp soup which blew my mind how good it was. I never eat my greens but I could have eaten a whole pot of these. It's collard greens mixed with beans, onions and sausage. Seriously try it!

Such a great find while visiting Gulf Shores. The food was good & the swamp soup is simply delicious, but honestly the best part of dinner was our waitress Mona. You must ask for her when you dine in, she is funny, keeps you engaged & even involved other tables in the phone. We will definitely go back & ask for her!

Good food and very friendly staff. This appears to be heavily frequented by locals. The setting is well-worn but there was only a 15 min wait. The drinks are good and not particularly strong. We had the seafood platter and it was plenty for the two of us to share. It had shrimp, oysters, fish, fried okra, hush puppies and swamp soup. The swamp soup is DELICIOUS! It is collard greens, beans and has a smokey ham/bacon broth.

Fish River Grill was recommended to me by one of the Gulf State Park gate attendants. I had the Fried shrimp basket which came with a small cup of swamp soup, fried okra, french fries, 3 corn fritters and over a dozen nice sized shrimp which had been lightly breaded and deep fried. Everything was incredible, great friendly service at the bar! The food came out quickly and was fresh and hot. Great dinner and highly recommended!

Everything we ordered was delicious. Swamp soup is a mix of greens, beans, and ham and is so good. Oysters, fish, shrimp, chicken tenders, okra, fries, hushpuppies, and cole slaw( some of the best I've ever had). I only got a picture of the swamp soup cause we were so hungry i forgot to take pictures. Huge portions at reasonable prices . I would definitely go back. My only complaint is there was a huge bug crawling on the wall above my head.

Very family friendly. We were seated right away. Their menu has something for everyone. We specifically chose here for their alligator bites. They came through! Delicious. Cheese curds were a favorite for the 3 yr old. The catfish basket was huge! Glad the husband and I decided to share. The children's chicken strip basket was a bit pricey, but also a huge serving. We all left happy and VERY full. Oh, and do yourself a favor and order the Mermaid juice! It was amazing.
