I am not usually a mean person but this meal is extremely terrible. I ordered a take out. Cabbage with vinegar made me feel like it is a waste of the good ingredients. It tasted like boiled cabbage with salt. I can barely taste any vinegar. To be honest, I can cook this dish better with my feet. Also, I ordered a Beef chao fen and I didn’t receive it. I receive no message, no call from them for that. Only the steam rice is eatable.

This place is way to over priced for the quality. The food was alright. It wasn’t terrible but not the good either. The crab wantons is just cream cheese fried that’s it. I also got two combos, the garlic chicken which tasted fishy in an unexpected way, and Szechuan chicken combo wasn’t very good at all. It kinda just made my stomach upset. If you want fried rice you must pay $5 more. Payed $48 for two meals (that only include a meat and rice) and an appetizer NO DRINKS. You’re better off at Panda Express in all honesty and it’s cheaper for the same quality. Actually Panda just might be a bit higher quality than this place. I wouldn’t go back again.

The only good thing is that the food arrived hot. The fried rice had no taste, there was no vegetables in the meat dishes and sauce on only half of the sweet and sour dishes.

Loved this restaurant! As a southern Californian, I'm used to very good authentic Chinese food. This is much different than your standard chinese restaurant in a non asian community. This restuarant offers food that most non chinese would've never heard of but chinese knows and expects from authentic chinese restaurants. The prices are very fair considering we are in Alaska and the store is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The food seems to be northern chinese cuisine as shown by the duck in the picture and due to the fact that the waiters and owners of the restaurant seem to have a thick Northern accent

Trash. Once this placed ruled the Chinese food game in Anchorage now it's cut so many corners that I would rather have microwave Chinese. $22.00 for a combo that barely has a hand full of Mongolian beef. Don't waste your money go somewhere else.

Honestly this was so good I was already thinking of what to order the firs time going there. I had the Mapo Tofu and scallion pancakes, brought a friend along to try it with me. They got the pork strips with szechuan sauce.
I rarely ever give 5 star reviews as you can see, from my reviews, and this place deserves it. One of the only places in Anchorage people can get AUTHENTIC chinese food, and it having an American-Chinese menu for those who are not too familiar with it.
Also I must say the decor is ???? very ???? nice ????

The scallion pancake was flakey and it tasted so amazing. Mapo tofu was also really good, savory, sour, a hint of spice (I like spicey food I would have liked it spicier tbh but it was really good.) A hint of sweetness. I actually had leftover and that tasted EVEN BETTER the next day, which is a good sign on how well seasoned the food is. Used the mapo sauce with the flakey scallion pancake and pure bliss.
Also the food comes with a big serving of rice, it may look expensive but the amount you get is worth it. Bring a friend to share with!

My family has always ordered from China Town. But the last three times we've ordered from here, we've been disappointed each time. I ordered chicken chow mein this time but was given lo mein. Ok, not too big of deal. However, it was so salty it was inedible. And the sweet and sour pork was basically soggy breading with tiny pieces of meat. I'm sad to say that we won't be ordering from here anymore.

Pre-Covid, this place use to be the king of Chinese food in Anchorage. It was absolutely amazing. Now, it is absolutely horrible. I would prefer frozen fried rice packs from Freddie’s over this place.
