Beyond polite and helpful person gave us all of the advice that we're looking for and what to do in the area. It surprised me how friendly everyone was and the amount of time and patience they showed tours are lack of knowledge. Super customer service.

Must stop on your downtown shopping tour. Lots of great places to see ALL over Alaska, Very friendly staff will help you find someplace new to discover.

We stopped at the visitor center the day we arrived to take the trolley tour and get ideas on what we should see and do while in town. The visitor center had plenty of brochures covering everything you can imagine, including dining.
The tour was full of info and history. You can purchase trolley tickets in advance but we didn't have issues getting the 1 hour tour when we arrived. The longer your was sold out though.

Great first stop on our very first visit to Anchorage. The staff had a ton of great information and recommendations and I came away with quite a few maps and guide books. The Trolley Tour starts/stops right outside the center as well.

The log cabin wasn't open when we visited Anchorage but great pictures all around the outside, and a great example of a live roof.

Another of Alaska's great visitor centres.

This one is also staffed by folks who know Alaska and will provide lots of information for the traveler to help make the visit to Alaska memorable and complete.

I found their assistance valuable.

Barb Roberts & Rena Witter were ABOLUTELY AMAZING. There was a mix-up with my cruise transfer to Whittier & they really helped me out. They let me use their office phone (cuz my cell didn't work in Alaska), they called around to re-book my transfer & they arranged a cab (immediately!) to get me back to my hotel to pick up my bags & then take me to the transfer meeting point. It was a really stressful time & they were just awesome. They saved my vacation u003c3
