The museum is fine, has some great scientific experiments that are great for kids and adults. Very informative. The best section was about the different ethnic tribes of Alaska. I will recommend only if the weather is not great and you need to kill time. It's not worth the money at all.

Interesting Museum with lots of exhibits. Apart from the little Science component in the corner, many exhibits were allocated to the Alaska's culture and art. There was a section for the railway that just reached 100 years old too.

A good place to learn about Anchorage history. It takes about 2-3 hours to see all the exhibits. Recommended for adults, not a lot of activities for kids.

This museum worth visiting, it is Smithsonian branded one. There is well designed discovery lab for kids to try and learn, your kiddos can stay there for hours. Movie is played almost every hour in the afternoon. cafeteria provide drinks and light snacks. It's better to prepare some quarter coins in advance if you have backpacks, the lock needs insert quarter coin to be able to locked and pull out the key. The map says no backpacks in Gallery.

The whole family enjoyed this museum. The talented Alaska artists were beautifully displayed. Bonus was the interactive kids area that children and young at heart enjoyed. They have additional interactive/class area that wasn't open.

Went with granddaughter and her kids. We spent four hours there and had a blast. There is much new art which is socially relevant and good. Snack bar prices were reasonable. The little ones thoroughly enjoyed the Hands-On experiences.

I loved it! A great source to learn about native culture. I was amazed by the traditional knowledge put into everyday but key items - very much in tune with their surroundings. I look up to their appreciation and respect for nature.

Such a great place to visit! The artwork was both modern and historical (Thomas Hill’s Muir Glacier, 1889 is my favorite). Great for an evening activity or a great place to learn about native people and their cultures throughout the land.
