Beluga point is absolutely grateful ....there's a question as to whether or not you can cross the train tracks to get a better picture.
I looked into it and the answer I got so far is that it's not encouraged. And that's as far as they told me. I was told that the train track itself and property 10 ft on other side belongs to the rail station.

Watch your step as you're heading down. I recommend this for any family with children older than nine.

Be very mindful of the train, on train tracks, the way the sound bounces off the cove, off the freeway, and off the ocean will have that train sneaking up on you faster than a pitbull with an attitude.

I come here often from Anchorage to call my 2 sisters in the Lower 48. Very relaxing. Love to watch the water and all the tourists. Years ago, I would drive here to get my twins to nap.

This place is great. Walked up the trails and explored a great hidden wonderland. You can see so far out, the water is beautiful. If your lookin for a quick adventure I recommend this place.

Nice paved parking lot with plenty of spaces. Free to enter and park. No facilities. Late afternoon was not a great time for whales today. Worth a stop if you’re driving by.

Beluga Point on the way south from Anchorage is a nice quick stop for viewing the gorgeous surrounding area. It can get super windy here and my car door almost took me out but that’s great if you want to fly a sturdy kite. There are signs warning people from grass passing onto the railroad but a ton of people do it. Seems like not a great plan.

Pretty stop off area. Parking lot was good sized, however, there is no trail to get to water area. You do have to do some climbing over the rocks, but if you want to stop and snag some groovy photos this is a good spot. Also a good spot to watch the bore tide come in. Alaska is so beautiful!

Mann, what's not to say about this place. ITS NOT HOT!!! Lol. The views that you see at this point are some the most people only see in movies. There is soo much to take in. Beluga Point is just that nice little piece of land that let's you see basically a 360 degree view of mountain ranges. It is absolutely breathtaking.

Beautiful views, but unfortunately, no wildlife was out. Something that none of the sites said was that to actually go out onto the point, you have to climb over a railing and cross active railroad tracks. Signs are posted not to do either.
