I’ve lived in Northwest Arkansas for 20 years, and never made it to one of the classic places in Tontitown. Finally had an opportunity to do so with my friends, and was greatly disappointed.

The homemade pasta had great flavor, but was way over cooked and mushy, the shrimp was over-seasoned and overcooked as well. The rolls were extremely sweet, and not super fresh. The salad was only lettuce with too much dressing. The wine was drinkable but nothing to try again.

The service was FANTASTIC! But to be I’m business since 1947 and all 3 of our dishes were sub par. Chicken Parmesan, Shrimp Scampi, and Spaghetti.

We tried Venesian Inn tonight In Tontitown. For years we had heard great things about it. Surely, if they have been in business since 1947, it’ll be good right? Nope. We are wondering HOW they have stayed in business that long. Someone please tell us this was an off night.

The service was fantastic BUT…

The house salad came out with only chopped iceberg lettuce and dressing. Literally nothing else; no veggies, no cheese, no croutons. So weird. We both got pasta. The noodles were mush (way over cooked) and so salty I couldn’t eat it. Thank goodness there was bread and butter on the table for us to eat!

Such a let down. And now I’m trying to figure out what I’m eating for my second dinner.

We were seated fairly quickly but they had to clean off our table which was fine. When we sat down the table felt sticky like jam had been left all over it. The waitress said it was because the table was old and the finish was gone. I was like "OK. I can deal. Can I get a napkin and had to lay it on the table because it felt gross our entire dinner. Our waitress was fairly friendly and we ordered a meal to share with salads. Our salads came and they were just Lettuce and covered too heavily with their Italian dressing. When our food came, it was very underwhelming. The chicken fettuccine was over cooked, the red sauce they used for the eggplant parmesean and lasagna was "just all right" and the bread roll was overly grainy served with a honey substance but not actual honey. I never once got a refill on my water and had asked for small plates to put our food onto since it was a shared dinner and there was only one plate brought. She took so long to bring the small plates we both had to stretch and reach to eat our food and by the time she brought the plate our food would have been cold if we waited to eat. Our waitress asked how things were and I said "so so, none of this food is good enough to take home to eat again and mentioned the water and the plates and she gave a half hearted "I'm sorry" and took our $30 on the card machine and walked off.

There is never a desire for us to go back and I will tell people to stay away from this place moving forward. You'll have a much better dinner giving someone else your $30.

Came here to celebrate my son's 15th birthday. He wanted Italian and we thought we would take him to an authentic Italian restaurant. I wish I had just cooked him some lasagna at home because mine is better. Everyone was very friendly, but we were seated at a table where the air conditioner kept dripping water onto our table. Also, our food wasn't very hot. The cheese wasn't even melted. Tasted alright but was lukewarm and portions were small. Bread was wonderful but wasn't even brought out until we were halfway through our meal. Salad was only iceberg lettuce with a vinegary dressing...nothing else. We decided we won't be back.

NO MORE STEAKS FROM Venesian inn
When Linda Mhoon was there the steaks were 20 oz even Melissa the owner said their steaks for 2 ran 20 to 25 oz. She fixed the problem last time and gave a steak to make up the difference. Now getting a different story from her husband.

Well this is the second one no more
Her husband said they don't so who is right Melissa or her husband?

Also you don't get what you order like medium rare and they come out more like medium

If you want a steak for 2 just order individual steaks or go to a steak house that know steaks.
Sad can't post picture of 11.9 oz steak and how bad it looks.

What a disappointment.
Would go there faithfully in the past while visiting.
Used to be GREAT.
now, a total miss. Meniu has changed. Very few customers when we were there recently, I can see why.
Don't bother to go there.

Super delicious! When I am in town I always stop here to eat! The rolls are out of this world! Fried chicken and spaghetti so yummy! I am sure the dessert is excellent but never have room. The salad which is just lettuce mixed with oil and vinegar is so good with crackers!

What a bad experience.

The tables are very sticky, and the cleaner they use makes it worse.

The food was overpriced for the portion and quality. The fettuccine and chicken were overcooked. The noodles fell apart and the chicken was chewy. The eggplant parmesan was over breaded and burnt on the bottom. The noodles were not overcooked, but were on the edge. The lasagna was meh. The sauce to noodle ratio was poor in that there was more sauce than actual food, and the food that was there was only of an average flavor that was largely indistinguishable from the eggplant parmesan. The salad was a joke. No, seriously. Some iceberg lettuce thrown on a tiny plate with some salad dressing. The dressing was decent. The rolls were grainy and I honestly wanted to spit it out about half way through chewing my first bite. The "honey" was liquidy and not really honey, but a honey-like sauce that was not good. The prepackaged saltines were good.

Then there was the service. We never once received a single refill. We had to call out our waitress to even come back to our table. When she asked how the food was, we told her "most of it was overcooked", and she didn't show any real care. She said, "I'm sorry. Your total is..." Talk about trying to salvage a bad experience...
