We had a wonderful experience from the very start. The host team was incredibly nice and even continued playing games with my young daughter through out the entire time we were there. Our server Addie was incredible even tho the restaurant was packed we felt like we were her only table. She gave us amazing service I can’t recommend her enough. Like I said the place was packed but our food came out so quick and right. Everything was delicious from the honey butter croissant to the seafood pasta dish my partner ordered. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad it sat on was very good. We will definitely be back soon

I had the California Dreaming Salad and it was good except had little too much cheese for my taste . My friend had the San Francisco Shrimp and it tasty. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

My friends and I decided to go to California Dreaming before Prom and we had the best waiter we could ask for. To be honestly, he was the best waiter I've ever had at a restaurant.
Our waiter, Dave, not only made sure that my whole party was comfortable, but he was funny, relatable, and so very fun.
Our drinks were never empty and we were taken care of extremely well; my friends and I talked about how amazing he was the whole time.
If you're gonna go here, Dave is your man and probably the best waiter you'll ever have. Thank you! (My party and our amazing waiter below)

The bartender barely acknowledged us, though she was VERY friendly to her regulars. So, if you frequent this place you may be golden. As a first timer, I wouldn't return after my experience.

We only went for a drink after work, but had the service been better we would have stayed for dinner. In fact, after leaving I needed to order dinner, as I was staying in from out of town, and didn't want to go back to the bar badly enough that I was going to order take out (ribs) and chose another restaurant instead. The Half Shell received my dinner that evening. The bartender there was incredibly warm, friendly and outgoing. Stark difference in neighboring restaurants.

I used to come here a lot since I’ve grown up in the area almost my entire life. My family and friends always considered this a very nice classy restaurant, however today I was pretty disappointed. When we walked up we saw the umbrellas open outside and we were so excited to grab a drink, an appetizer, and just relax outside under the shade. Unfortunately the hostess said they don’t have a server for the outside area, totally understandable, most places are still low staffed. The hostess was incredibly kind and took very good care of us. We asked to sit at the bar and we both ordered our drinks. After sipping on my Fairhope Causeway for a few minutes, I noticed I had a shred of lettuce sitting on the inside of my cup near the rim. *I did not get a picture of this* but I was very disgusted. The bartender did feel very bad and gave me another glass and beer. While sitting inside, it almost feels like the AC isn’t even on. We ordered steamed shrimp and the taste just doesn’t seem to match prior visits. I’m sad to say, this place has just gone down hill in my opinion. I no longer see this place as “Spanish Forts high end classy restaurant”.

The food was superb and the service was outstanding. There was no complaints at my table of six...not even from picky eaters. The steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Their house salad is the best salad I ever had.

The lady at front desk in our hotel recommended California Dreaming restaurant for our dinner, we debated because it was a restaurant located in a shopping center. We are so very excited that we decided to give it a try. Everyone from the time we walked in the door until we left were very friendly. The croissants were to die for, absolutely melted in our mouth. We both had pasta dishes and were probably the best we had ever had. The manager came by to make sure our first visit was a good one. We will be back next time through Daphne and already looking forward to a California Dreaming salad. Wish we didn’t live so far away. Maybe we need one in Arkansas!! A special thank you to the lady who seated us and gave us her recommendations, our wonderful waitress and the friendly manager. Loved this place. Very nice atmosphere also!!
