Best breakfast in the Orange Beach area! Started the meal off with the Fried Green Tomatoes as a starter, enjoyed the Southern breakfast with a cup of hot tea, then capped the meal with the Seasonal Mimosa Flight!! Everything was delicious and I highly recommend any adult who can't decide on one type of mimosa, to try the Mimosa Flight, which is kind of pricey at $20 bucks, but for a tourist area is expected.

Service was rude from the get go. Silverware was thrown down the table as the server greeted us with a surly tone. We asked about the seasonal beignet offerings but she couldn’t tell us which fruits were available, she got flustered and said like jams flavors.. we ordered a regular order of beignets. When they came out, there was almost zero powdered sugar.. what is a beignet without powdered sugar. And they were fried til just burnt. I would never serve burnt beignets at a restaurant with publicized links to NOLA. My sisters sausage links were burnt. My omelet was almost on the verge of being done.

My mother got pancakes and asked for extra butter when she ordered. When our food came, she got one ramekin of almost a couple pats of butter. We asked the expediter, Jackie I think, for more butter. Meanwhile, my sister, brother and I all gave our butter to my mom. We also asked Jackie to put some powdered sugar on our beignets. Jackie happily took care of the lack of powdered sugar and the butter. She was so nice, smiling, and happy to help.

Toward the end of our breakfast, our server mentioned that she had a 3 year old at home and that parenting is a tiring job, and I am paraphrasing…I cannot verbatim repeat her exact words, but our group takeaway from her comment was that being a parent gives her a pass on being friendly or kind to customers. I am a parent of a 25 yo. And helped raise my 30 yo nephew. Her comment fell on deaf ears at our table bc we’re all parents. It was kind of a roll your eyes moment.

I’m not going back to this restaurant. The food was mediocre and served either burnt or half done. The biscuits were either huge or flat and tasted old. The table was sticky when we sat down. The hostess was amazingly friendly and when my sister talked w her after we were done, she refunded our payment, and apologized. She was great. Jackie was great.

This place is the best brunch place I’ve been to in awhile. We have vegetarian people in our group and it was absolutely delicious for both the meat eaters and vegetarian people. I ordered tacos both times we came here. We came on Friday morning and loved it so much we came back on Sunday ???? highly recommend ordering the biscuits with the butter.

We wanted to try something different for breakfast the last time we were at the beach besides our usual places, and The Ruby Slipper Cafe definitely was a great choice! They have a very friendly and welcoming staff, the atmosphere was great, and the food was absolutely fantastic! If you love New Orleans, you’ll love this place! I had the best Bananas Foster French Toast since my trip to NOLA a few years ago! Definitely will be a go-to breakfast spot from now on!

This place is great for families. The staff is very nice and attentive. Our drinks were never empty. The food was quick. And there's a lot of food on your plate for the price.

The food : this is a mixed review.

My husband got the breakfast tacos ( made it vegetarian) and a grapefruit mimosa. He's absolutely loved it. Said it was one of the best breakfasts hes ever had. The drink was strong and he liked it . High praise.

I got the biscuits and gravy and regular coffee. The coffee is not good. ???? Its diner coffee. One of my biscuits was fluffy and the other was hard. More gravy is needed to even out the gravy to biscuit ratio. The eggs and bacon were fine.

We got the beignets as well. They were pretty greasy.

Also, we actually had brunch in New Orleans yesterday so maybe I'm just holding it to to high of a standard for a place whose slogan is "Brunch inspired by New Orleans". If I were judging my own meal - this would be a 3 starred review but my husband says it deserves a 5. ???? So we're settling at a 4.

We visited the Ruby Slipper while on Spring Break, 2023. This is a nice restaurant for breakfast!

They have several options for Eggs Benedict which is a classic breakfast dish that consists of two poached eggs, ham or bacon, and hollandaise sauce, all served on top of an English muffin. At Ruby Slipper in Orange Beach, AL, the restaurant has taken this classic dish to the next level with their own unique twists and variations.

One popular Eggs Benedict dish at Ruby Slipper in Orange Beach is the Bayou Shrimp Benedict. This version features Gulf shrimp and andouille sausage on top of a homemade buttermilk biscuit, along with roasted red peppers and hollandaise sauce. The combination of spicy and savory flavors in this dish makes it a standout option for breakfast or brunch.

Another popular variation at Ruby Slipper is the Chicken St. Charles Benedict. This dish features fried chicken and a green tomatoes on top of a buttermilk biscuit, along with tasso buttermilk gravy. The crispy chicken and smoky gravy perfectly create a delicious and satisfying dish.

Other well liked entrees by the kids was the chicken and French toast bites! The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, ensuring that each dish is of the highest quality and flavor.

Overall, whether you're a fan of classic Eggs Benedict or are looking for something new and exciting, the Ruby Slipper in Orange Beach has a variety of delicious options to choose from. The restaurant's unique twists and fresh ingredients make it a standout breakfast and brunch spot in the area.

A terrific spot for an early breakfast or brunch! The menu has been updated from the last year we had visited and was pleasantly surprised with the tasty new options. The staff is as friendly as I remember with great recommendations from the menu and timely service. Definitely a must go for first time tourists to the area or a first thought choice to those returning!

Who doesn’t love a nice relaxing breakfast/brunch on a porch? Drink yummy coffee and enjoy the breeze? Eat some delicious food? Do stop here! We ate there twice! Everything was delicious but the pancakes are the best!
