The food isn't terrible, but it's not really good. I ordered an omelet with chicken, French toast, and cheese grits. Nothing was seasoned. I was so grateful for butter, powder sugar, and syrup for the French toast. Without those three ingredients, it would just be bread from a griddle. They used the same spatula on the French toast as they did for chopping onion. I know this because my French toast tasted like it. A piece of the onion was stuck on one of the pieces of French toast.

Couldn't taste the cheese in the grits, I added butter salt, pepper, and almost half the omelet to the grits and still didn't eat it. The chicken was not seasoned at all. No flavor, just chunks of chicken. I didn't finish my meal and didn't take any of it to go. The onion flavored toast was probably the best part of the meal because of the sugar, butter, and syrup. The piece of onion was on the 3rd piece. When that happened, I had to stop because biting into an onion vs. a hint of onion flavor...it became too much, and I couldn't continue eating.

My husband had the American breakfast, and he used his bacon to season his grits and eggs. We literally threw $50 away.

The manager asked how our food was. I told him about the onion bread, French toast, and very bland food. He did nothing. He clearly didn't know how to handle my honesty. Our table host was very nice, so the 2 stars for service is 100% related to the manager. I know this is gross...but I showed him the onion that I spit out in a napkin as evidence. If you are going to charge 8 for French toast, please hold the onions!

I was so excited when the food came out and completely disappointed when I tasted it. I am confused about the rating. Maybe there is something else on the menu that is this restaurant's all-star dish...guess who is not about to spend another $50 there to figure it out...ME!!!

The employees are all friendly, attentive and offer great service. My food was delicious and cooked just like I asked. The eggs were cooked just right. I didn’t know that it came with pepper on the top. The server saw me pulling pepper off of my eggs and putting them on my plate. She offered to take it away and bring me a fresh plate of eggs. It wouldn’t look good to other customers to see “ants” on my plate. ???? The biscuit was the lightest fluffiest one I’ve ever had. The beignets are always delicious.

We make it a point to eat breakfast here every time we come to OB. Food and atmosphere is wonderful. Service is always phenomenal. Brick & Spoon bloody marys are as delicious as they are fun to build. Great for adults and kiddos. Not a complaint, but the only thing that would make it better would be if it were on the beach or beach view.

This was the most amazing breakfast and brunch we have had in a long time! The shrimp and grits were flavorful, slightly sweet and filling. The Cali Bacon Burger was the best burger, hand patted with a garlic aoli and thick cut bacon. The Bama Chicken was a unique dish with biscuits and gravy and chicken topped with 2 eggs. The French toast was had a slight cinnamon taste and was also made to perfection. The service was friendly and prompt with a laid back ambiance. A great find and a must try if you are in the area!

Ok where can I even begin. This place is a must go and everything about it is amazing! The food, the bloody mary's, the staff everything is great! There was a small wait but they did a great job of making you feel welcome. Once at the table we were promptly greeted by an attentive server. Drinks and food were quick but not too quick. Even found they have four chefs in the kitchen to make sure everything is timely! Go here and enjoy I cannot say enough good things about it, we will definitely visit again when we return next season. Cheers

Excellent service and good atmosphere! I was a little disappointed by the bloody maries, which is why we were recommended this place. Food was okay, not a fan of their hollandaise. Others in my party enjoyed their meals, though.

The food was fabulous! Our waitress was very attentive. She was completely honest about if I would like the food and drinks.(I’m a picky eater) I had the bama chick. The chicken was so tender and the biscuits soft! The owner was in the kitchen cooking. He had our food out before I even got my drink! Btw if you like grits, their grits have corn in it. I did not eat them but if I could compare it to everything else I’m sure it’s good!

This is my second experience with Brick & Spoon. First was in Tennessee. This one is located in Alabama.

I feel like the food was slightly more seasoned in Tennessee.

The coffee was brewed better in Tennessee as well. ☕️
