Lady at the counter would not discount drinks when the sign was clearly there 3 for 11,and blamed it on computer. She discounted three 6 packs and would not discount other’s and eight out of the 10 times I’ve bought milk at this store. It has been bad when the dates are not past. I’m going to Walmart from now on.

It has really gone downhill since it first opened. You cannot ever find a organized and clean, safe store. It is cluttered with unpacked merchandise on rolling shelving. There are empty shelves everywhere. You can’t even get to the merchandise you want to buy. Is there no General or District Manager to make an unannounced visit? When it is busy, the lines can get ridiculous. Employees should take their cigarette break when it is slow!

Every single dollar general o go in is always the same. 2 employees. One of them a 'manager'. You have to wait in line for one of them to realize that there is a line. The stores are always cluttered. The shelves are half stocked. There is always those product buggies that new inventory comes in off the truck cluttering most of the isles. The only reason we even go to a dollar general is if we need that 1 item that we forgot to get from that 'always low priced' store. But like that other big box store, sometimes you have to go there. Like it or not.

This store used to be one of my favorite Dollar General stores. They open early and store was organized. Now every single isle is full of skids of merchandise that needs to put up. I mean every single isle. There is plenty of shelf space to put the inventory because the shelves are over half empty. Corporate office really needs to stop in and pay a visit to this disgusting store.

I am not kidding when I say every time we go here to pick something up it is never in stock. We got to the point that we bypass this store entirely knowing if we stopped here we would just be wasting our time. Much of the shelf space is empty. I don’t know what the deal is with this one because the other Dollar General in Gardendale is always clean and stocked.

You could not get through the store for racks of merchandise to be put away. At the cash register there were three people standing behind the register more interested in social plans than checking out a line of customers.

When I moved to Mt Olive I was so excited to have a DG right down the road from me. Well that excitement didn’t last long because the customer service is awful. There would 15-20 customers on a Saturday and not a single manager or assistant manager to help with any coupon concerns. No employee ever acted as though they wanted to be there. The store is small, and to make matters worst, they leave large stocking containers in the middle of the aisles. Unless I’m desperate and just need a few things, I will go to another store. I particularly like the Hwy 31 Gardendale (next door to Tractor Supply).
