This my husband's favorite restaurant in Mobile, and I recently surprised him with a visit for our 4-year dating anniversary. It was absolutely amazing! The food was superb, the atmosphere was delightful, and the live saxophone player outside added an extra touch of charm.

My husband enjoyed the flavorful chop steak with perfectly cooked green beans, while I savored every bite of the fried pork chop with greens. Each dish was amazing! We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories at this remarkable restaurant.

Nice place in downtown. Visiting from NYC and I walked in without a reservation, seated at the bar which is fine. Bartender was attentive but a little cold, which hey I get it not ever night is a win, but he made good drinks and was quick with my order so he got the place the 4th star. Atmosphere was basic, nothing at all noteworthy. Bar selection was basic. The menus extremely small and hard to read print. Steak was perfectly cooked but the plating and blue cheese sauce were a miss. Prices seemed high for the area. I’d go back. Over all one of the better places in the area, especially if you’re done with fried seafood.

Five star dining experience here! Unbelievable service and food quality to match! I ordered the meat and potatoes (cooked rare) and it was phenomenal. We will absolutely be back! Darby was the greatest server!

A reservation is required to eat here. The presentation was beautiful. The place is small and cozy. I had the stuffed chicken breast with asparagus. The chicken was "stuffed" with spinach and mozzarella served on a bed of ricotta spinach ravioli and topped with a lemon caper sauce.
I was not very impressed with the taste. It was quite bland. I expected to taste the spinach or cheese or lemon. Others may love it. It was not something that I would pay $$$ to eat again.

Amazing food and fantastic service! Skylar was the best, always on the lookout even from across the room in case we needed something. The hook to table was incredible! The Brussels sprouts and the shrimp are a must for the table. And the Oreo bread pudding was the perfect dessert, the perfect amount of sweetness. I can’t wait to come back!

First visit, great atmosphere and swanky joint. We started off with the tuna app which was your standard blackened tuna app. Dressed up and decent. Soy, ginger, orange flavors. However we moved to the fried green tomatoes, anywhere I go I go I have to try. These were some of the best I have had, coated in cheese and deep fried with a sweet bacon white cream sauce. These are worth the visit.
Moving on to the entree, fried pork chop. Not mind blowing but very simple and delicious. Not overly breaded but just perfectly breaded with a light crisp and juicy bone in pork chop. The main draw back was the presentation. The pork chop was laid over the mashed potatoes and by the time is was served the mashed potatoes had caused the breading to become soggy on the underside. The greens were well done and tasted fantastic. Every was a few degrees cooler than I would have hoped. I prefer my food to be piping hot.

Desert I had the bread pudding which was also just a touch cooler than I would have liked, still a very well rounded desert not overly sweet but just right. The texture was just a bit on the heavy side and slightly difficult to spoon into portions.

Darby served our meal and was a delight, not overly intrusive and let us enjoy our meal and was attentive to our needs and checked on us regularly. Do your self a favor and ask for her.

Over all a great experience, just need the food to be a little hotter by the time it hits the table.

My wife, first son and I met our second son for supper here since it is somewhat between Hattiesburg and Foley. We had 2 Delmonico's and 2 of the Chefs choice. I am not hard to please, but the other three are. For them to say that they liked any meal, let alone say they loved it and would love to come back doesn't happen very often. We all chorused these were some of the best steaks we have every ate. We had blackened shrimp and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Both fantastic. The side were excellent, the mushrooms on the Chefs choice were superb. We had to sit at the table for 25 minutes before our party was complete and they were patient and didn't get upset even though they were busy. Deserts were awesome. Good wait staff. Was not too impressed with downtown Mobile though, based on what I had heard and had read. It kinda of underperformed. Regardless, we will be back to eat again at Dumbwaiter!

New to the restaurant scene in Downtown Mobile and it was excellent. It can get a little noisy since the seating is tight but the food is awesome. The fresh cornbread and pork rinds are a nice treat while you wait for your first course. Drink menu looks tasty but have not attempted yet. Sister restaurant is in Fairhope, AL. They have fresh catch and fresh butcher cuts daily. I tried the rack of lamb this time but my table also had a great Cesar salad and there take on shrimp and grits. Service was super fast and all the dishes were perfect. Don’t let the noise keep you away, try this place and add to the fun. Make sure you call ahead for a reservation, not required but you will wish you had.
