A GEM of a restaurant in Madison! Every time we eat here, I find myself thinking about how good the food and drinks were for several days ???? The family-friendly location always has great service and the food is as good as it gets for meeting everyone's tastes! The variety is wonderful, and we have eaten anything on the menu we haven't enjoyed!

The brussel sprouts were great, a little spicy. The service was good, the amount of food we had leftover after being stuffed to the gills. We will come again.

We had our first visit last week. Outstanding food and service. My husband had the Fish and Chips. I had the Elwood Sandwich. Going back tomorrow because I can’t stop thinking about that sandwich!! Yummy tots and fries, too! What a gem in Madison!! (The giant pretzel was also a favorite. Delish!)

I give this a 4.8. The service was great. some of the food flavors are strange, with the beer cheese being strong flavored. I would definitely eat there again. Plenty of local drink selection.

It's a fun place with very good food! I hope they bring back some past menu items that I've seen online so we can try them- like the pork belly corn dogs, chocolate cake shake, and truffle fries ????

Food was EXCELLENT!!! The menu is so unique and the food is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anybody, it is such a hidden gem. It can be busy because it is not a huge place, so I would either call ahead or be wary of the tine I chose to go.

Me and my wife have been here a few times over the past few months and the service and food is always great. The beer is also a plus. We’ve been served by a gentleman named Sean(or Shawn) a few times and he is without a doubt the BEST! He’s been attentive and genuinely thoughtful anytime we have came in and quick and knowledgeable. The fish and chips Nashville hot is my favorite menu item. Great local spot for lunch/dinner and a drink!

As a self proclaimed foodie, and fan of Goodland Pour house, I’m disappointed in my most recent experience with a few of the staff members I encountered on 5/25/23 at apprx 7pm. So, I typically order the slammin’ salmon sandwich meal via UberEats or Door Dash and pay the up charge for the rosemary fries — soooo good! Today I placed an order for the same meal via UberEats and instead of having it delivered, I decided to pick it up while I was out running other errands. Even though I expected my meal to be ready based on the time I placed my order, it wasn’t but I was fine— I’m a patient person. The young lady behind the bar came out and asked me did I place the order via Ubereats because they didn’t have an order by my name. I informed her I did and told her what I ordered. She informed me it would be a wait and I stated okay. Within about 5 mins my food came out and I opened the bag and opened my plate like I normally do to ensure my order was correct. I noticed I had the basic fries, so I let the young lady know I didn’t have the cajun garlic rosemary fries I ordered, but rather the regular fries. She looked at me and then looked in my plate and stated, “no that’s them. they’re the cajun fries”. I made her aware that I paid a 4.00 up charge for the cajun garlic fries and these weren’t the fries I always ordered. She looked at me again and stated, “that’s them”. Once again I informed her that these were the cajun fries and I shared that I order this meal from them probably once a week. She looked at me took the plate and said okay. She talked to a few people in the kitchen — they all talked quietly and one of the male kitchen employees glanced at me from the open entrance into the kitchen and looked away. The female bar employee who took my plate then moved to the area in front of the kitchen window and was doing something to my plate. She brought my plate out with the bag tied this time, and said, okay & put my order down in front of me and walked away. I untied the bag and viewed my order again —- she had taken some raw garlic and rosemary mixture and sprinkled a bit over my fries and tied up the bag and gave it to me and walked off. In all the weeks I’ve ordered these fries I’ve never received the fries with raw garlic and rosemary. It was always cooked with the fries and alway so flavorful!

Now I know restaurant workers are doing the best they can with the staff they have, but this was not acceptable and it was indeed an intentional lack of care for me as a customer. When I pay for something I expect to get what I paid for, and if I bring an order error to your attention, the least one can do is have the decency to honor the order I placed, and make it right to the best of your ability. The way the employees tonight handled my situation was not done to anyone’s best ability, and it was intentionally done in an ill willed manner. I ended up replacing my meal with another meal out of concern for food safety. It’s not the money that I need back necessarily, but it is the need to address this situation with tonight’s staff and a call to action for a recommitment of the staff to never choose to be less than excellent in their role(s) again— whether this position or the next. It would be great if the employees were given a refresher on hospitality etiquette and customer service. Customers like me believe in honoring hard workers and are almost always willingly to give nice tip, and are nice in how we treat food service employees. The least we expect is to be treated with dignity and respect.

I’m not giving the restaurant less than 3 stars. The restaurant overall has been great. All it takes is a few bad apples to ruin the basket.
