This cafe is in a small strip mall. They have a very friendly staff and serve breakfast and lunch. I stopped by for breakfast and was not disappointed. I got a 2 egg and country ham breakfast with cheese grits. The country ham was great and the toast was surprisingly good. It wasn’t your typical white bread and it wasn’t full on multigrain. It was delicious though. I would highly recommend this place.

We are from out of town and this is our first time in the southern states. Mia's Cafe's food was really good and service was great. We were seated right away despite having a party of 6 which includes 2 kids. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the Biscuit with Sausage Gravy and a side of bacon. The Biscuit was flaky and buttery, not at all salty (like I've had back home) the gravy was really good, too. All the ones I've had back home have been heavy and gloopy, and this was just right all around. I really enjoyed the whole meal.

Our server was very kind and attentive. Will definitely be visiting again before heading back home.

Mia's Cafe is FANTASTIC! Great food, well proportions and reasonably priced. Jose and his crew are friendly, helpful and will go out of their way for the customer. They also have (extra hot) hot sauce. Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch.

UPDATE: We've been back several times. The staff is so friendly. We're greeted with multiple smiles. Still not keen on the booth seating if someone's behind us, but they're usually leaving shortly after we arrive.

The pancakes are good, the French toast is DELICIOUS. I usually add fresh strawberries to both, but they stand alone just fine.

Everyone should try it. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food.

Very friendly staff. The food is pretty good, you'll need to add your own salt/pepper to grits and eggs, but I don't think that's a bad thing. After ordering, our food arrived pretty quickly. It was hot and fresh.

We walked in and were seated right away around 8 a.m. both times we came. Once after Daylight Savings and the other was a Friday. So it's not the best representation of how crowded it can get, as we've seen a line before.

I wasn't too fond of the seating. There were no dividers between the booths. My head was about 5 inches away from the person behind me. Thankfully they left to pay shortly after we were seated. Aside from Covid, I don't want to sit that close to a stranger while I'm eating.

We'll likely be back, as long as it's not crowded.

I got there before 11a on a Sunday and was told they're no longer serving breakfast. The whole reason I went was for their advertised breakfast, but I decided to give their lunch a try anyway. It didn't take long to get seated. Be warned it is noisy, if you have anyone in your party who is sound-sensitive. It has a concrete floor, they play Americana 50s-ish music, and it's a casual environment where everyone speaks loud enough to be heard at their table over the music and room noise.

Every single staff member was respectful and courteous. It took inexplicably long for my meat & 3 to be served, though. When the meal was served, my meatloaf was cool throughout and my veggies were almost too hot to eat. The meatloaf serving was small, in proportion to the plate and large veggie servings. The red sauce on the meatloaf was a runny tomato sauce style instead of a paste-thickness. At least it was easy to scrape the sauce off the meatloaf.

In terms of flavor, the black-eyed peas and green beans were perfectly seasoned in southern comfort food style. The green beans are not vegetarian-friendly, if that matters to you, as they're seasoned and served with chunks of ham or bacon (so very tasty!). The cornbread tastes like Jiffy mix cornbread (a little on the sweet side and a little dry) and there's a tray of jellies on the table, if you like that on your cornbread. The fried okra tasted like baked okra - this is not a complaint - it was slightly crispy, hot throughout, and not greasy at all. The flavor of the okra was basic (think Cracker Barrel fried okra).

The sweet tea did not disappoint (sweet, but not syrupy and not bitter).

The peach cobbler, on the other hand, did disappoint. The cobbler was not served a la mode (i.e. there wasn't a vanilla ice cream scoop). Ok, not a big deal, just a difference in menu/plating than most Southern food places. The disappointment was that it had only a couple peach slices and had barely any syrup/juice. It seemed more like a peach crumble than peach cobbler, but maybe I just ended up with the last scoop and all that was left was mostly a mix of dry and mushy bread (yep, a single dish can both be dry and mushy).

I did ask about the catfish - it's boneless, if that's more your thing. If I go back, I'll be sticking with a veggie plate and I'll probably try a biscuit instead of the cornbread again.

In terms of price, it was higher than I expected for the types of food and serving sizes. My total was just under $20 (including tax) for a sweet tea, meat & 3, and small side of peach cobbler.

We love coming to Mia's, and I can't believe I haven't left a review before. We always have a great meal here.

The food is always excellent, and you can't beat the service. No matter who serves your table you feel like a VIP.

The hashbrown casserole is the best in the area!

My son and I walked into the restaurant, was welcome with a big smile, and seated right away. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast which was all cooked fresh and delicious. They made a Micky mouse pancake for my son which he enjoyed. I tasted the pancakes and they were light and fluffy. Great pancakes! The customer service was exceptional. We will definitely be going back.
