Wow! This was some amazing chicken and sides. The beans were delicious as were the fries, potatoes, and Mac and cheese. Jess did an amazing job and provided fantastic and friendly service. Would highly recommend you come and eat here. You won't regret it.

The building definitely grabs your attention and sparks curiosity but the a friend told me it was pretty good so I had to go and check it out. It was really good! I had the chicken tender sandwich. With a side of fries and coleslaw. The Champy’s sauce was really good too. I’m definitely going back to try a plate of chicken

This chicken reminds me of a local place back home. They pressure cook then deep fry their chicken to get that crispy skin. I do like the flavor of the skin better here. Chicken was quite dry, though. Okra was great but Mac and cheese was absolutely awful! Overall good spot to grab a bite. Maddy was sweet and did a great job

Had a lunch meeting at Champy's today. The menu is straightforward and there's a reason for that. They do a few things and they do them great. I had the fried buffalo chicken salad today (you know... because health...) The greens were fresh. The pickles were a nice touch.

More than that I can't say enough great things about the crew here. The server, bartender, and hosts were all genuine, warm, and prompt. Their manager is super nice and was in the dining room engaging with guests. Not to mention it was her birthday! The owner is a solid dude and a big supporter of other independent businesses in Huntsville/Madison. It was a pleasure meeting and talking to each of these people today. Support Champy's!

I went here during the day. The food was great. The table service was very slow but took a long time for a server to come take my order. I had to get up and ask the hostess if it would’ve been faster at the bar. She had me sit back down at the table and wait for my server. There was a loud server that had another table which I assume were people she knew because she didn’t even have the decency to come over and say anything to me. She watched me sit down, get up and speak to the hostess, and still sit down to wait. Even if I wasn’t in her area, she could’ve at least went to get my server. But I digress because that’s the resultant manager in me.

The server I had was nice and patient. She wasn’t the most fun but did her job. She answered my questions and took care of anything I needed. Again, the food was great! The chicken was tender, the cole slaw was perfectly mixed, the Mac n cheese was very creamy (could use a little seasoning though), and the presentation was nice! I would order from here again but would prefer to sit at the bar or do a pickup order. I wouldn’t want table service again. The area and atmosphere was nice as well. It’s definitely a good place for a night out.

Really great spot for some really great chicken. Hush puppies are fantastic, and the southern side of me loves fried tomatoes. Don't know if I can't justify a $13 price tag for one big tomato and some batter to fry in, but they will most certainly hit the spot if you're looking for comfort food.
Only ever had one bad experience at Champys; my most recent visit. There were only four of us but somehow all four orders were completely wrong. In our waitress's defense, she was training someone and was dealing with a 15 top next to us. Having been in the industry for some time myself, I can relate to the chaos she must have been experiencing. However, she didn't write our orders down, and I can't help but feel like we wouldn't have had the wrong food brought out if she had. It always irks me when wait staff doesn't bother writing down orders for future reference. Especially when the food comes out wrong.

All that said, I'm still giving the place 5 stars because I e NEVER had a bad experience prior to that, the wait staff is ALWAYS awesome and kind, and the food is phenomenal. Will definitely be back.

I've driven by this place several times since moving here, and finally decided to stop in today. I'm glad I did. My son and I grabbed a late lunch and it was delicious. I thought it was a little pricey for the portion size, but the food was really good. I got the catfish plate, and he got the three piece dark meat chicken. We will be back soon.

I love Champy's. I've never had a bad meal here and I've been a lot. They have some of the best chicken tenders in town. All the sides are great. Fries are always done right and delicious. The on the bone fried chicken is always great as well. Prices are great too.

Nice selection of craft beer. I do wish they would rotate the kegs more but that's just because I love trying new beer.

I love supporting this small business.

Update: 4/18/21
We went for the brunch and the chicken and waffles were really good. The potatoes were very bland though. One thing that bothered me is there was no physical brunch menu. Even though our waitress explained what they served for brunch well, I didn't know what it cost and there is always a certain kind of rush feeling when you can't read exactly what you are getting.

I think Champy's could really benefit from a physical brunch and beer menus. I've also had this issue when sitting in the dining room and wanting a beer and while the wait staff has a beer menu, it usually doesn't have everything on it.

I'm not changing my 5 star review because I love Champy's and I will continue to come frequently because the quality and good service is always there.
