THEY CLOSE WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT. 2-3 HOURS EARLY AT THAT... This location has went to hell since the original staff left. I have been a regular at this store for 3 years. When you could walk in and Becky or Justin or one of the gang knew 70% of the clients name. I was just followed around the store by some new short, old lady with black hair that I've never seen before. Keep in mind I'm here 5-6 times a week bc I live .5 miles from it. It took the Holy Ghost himself to cover me so I didn't cause a scene.

They were out of 1/2 gallon milk. Good place to go for picking up things when you don't want to go to the bigger stores in town.

The Maysville 4-way Dollar General has some of the best staff of any DG around and they are my go to location.

Probably the best selection of the dollar stores within a five mile radius. The shelves here seem to be a little better stocked than others nearby. A little larger than the other nearby Dollar General stores. Relatively clean store with friendly associates.

It is a great place to stop by for the essentials. They do even have a good selection of OTC medications for when you get that dreaded call from school and need to pick up the kids and don't need to drive all the way to town for meds. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly.

This dollar general used to be good until the dark haired overweight Hispanic looking girl got hired here. She is by far the rudest laziest employee I’ve ever came across. I was once waiting at the checkout line for over 5 minutes with no cashier or employee in sight. I literally could have walked out of the store with my things and no one would have noticed. Finally after 5-6 minutes the woman strolls out of the bathroom looking at her phone, making no hurry to Check us out, and didn’t even acknowledge us or act like they were there. Finally she gets to the cash register and rings us up without apologizing for the weight. Aside from that experience, everytime I go here and she’s working the register she is sighing, looking bored, playing on her phone. Never ONCE has she ever asked “hi, how are you?” Like a normal cashier. Whenever I do ask how she is she always replies with a very flat and rude “fine”. (Doesn’t follow up with asking how I am). She is extremely rude, apathetic, doesn’t look like she cares about her job or customers at all. Oh, and I should mention that even WHILE she checks customers out, she pulls out her phone while you’re scanning your card and plays on it. Please get rid of the overweight dark haired Hispanic girl. I have no idea what her name is but if I did, I’d definitelty put it in this review.

The checkout associate was not frirndly at all. In fact, when checking out.. she acted as if I was causing her problems & grief. It made me & the customers behind me feel very uncomftable. I know the idea of customer satifaction has long been forgotten... but cutomer dispair... should not be tolerated. Please train the attendents to at least pretend to not hate your customers. They need to be reminded that the customer utimately pay the bills. We are not the enemy.
