With all the food and bar options, we were looking for a place that had grilled and steamed fresh, local seafood. You can get fried seafood anywhere in the country, and honestly, fried food is fries food. This place has none of that, all is either grilled, steamed or boiled. There was 3 of us, all guys with moderate appetites, and we shared the Gulf Steamer Tray for 6, and we ate ALL OF IT!!!

That came out to 1 pound of royal reds, 6 oysters, about 12-15 muscles, another 1 pound of Gulf shrimp and 4 snow crab clusters, EACH!! The price might seem startling at first, but split 3 ways was cheaper than a single entree item for one.

The platter also came with 2 corn cobs, a generous helping of green beans and Conecuh sausage! The only reason I didn't give the food 5 stars, is because the Royal reds were over cooked, making them soft and soggy. But other than that, the best seafood place we ate at all week!

Staff was super friendly and attentive. The inside is a bit snug so over hearing other customers can be irritating, but in our case, hilarious. Definitely give this place a thumbs up. We will be back!

Sat at bar 3pm on Sunday. About 30% full. Had 12 oysters and 2 draught Miller lites (the only thing on tap).

Best priced oysters in the area that I found. $18 for a dozen. Miller was $3.10. Frozen drinks were pricey, $14 but on par with area in souvenir glass.

Bar is small but comfortable. 5 stools.

Atmosphere is fine. Nautical theme. A little dingy. Torn vinyl seats and beat up machines and such but it’s a beach bar and restaurant so what do you expect. It’s part of the charm.

I recommend this place for tasty affordable oysters and reasonably priced Miller lite. $31 after tip for two Millers and 12 tasty oysters.

Every time we come to Orange Beach or Gulf Shores we always reserve one meal of our stay for The Steamer! We get a large platter and we love it. I do wish they'd add a kids' fish meal option because that's what my son wanted, but we had to order him an adult Mahi Mahi dinner and an appetizer of bread for his meal. The food is always good so far!

We walked over for dinner. We went all out for our last night and it was well worth it. A dozen raw to start. The 3lbs of each was over the top for us but was excited to have a ton of leftovers!

This place was great. We were in gulf shores for a week and the steamer had the best seafood and prices out of our whole trip. The establishment is a little small but the food is well worth it. Alex was our server at the bar and she was awesome. She had great conversation, made sure we knew the best things to do in town and never left our glass empty. Make sure to try the steamer out if you are in the area.

My husband and I have to eat here when we come to Gulf Shores! Some times a couple times within the week! Delicious food and so quick! Love the oysters and the seafood platter for two. Great service, extremely fast, and fair priced for all the seafood you get!

Place was great, and does takeout orders from the bar! We did the little lagoon steamer tray, and it was fantastic. We almost killed it with two of us, but could have fed 3 or 4 depending on the appetite! We ate here multiple times while we were in town. Lots of good options!

One of the more reasonably priced places with pretty good food!
The chargrilled oysters and the crab cakes were the fave dishes of what we ordered.
Tacos were next.
