Went to Publix for the first time around 7 am on a Thursday morning. This store is really big and well stocked. It was so clean and the atmosphere was really nice. They have a large produce section and so much to choose from. The prices are higher then what someone maybe use to spending but they have better quality items.

I love Publix! My family and I shop here several times a week.
They have the best meats and cheeses in their deli. The best fried chicken!
I also love their packaged croissants, sandwiches, salads, etc.
They have everything from delicious baked goods, fresh produce, great seafood and sushi. I love the floral bouquets up front. You can get beautiful flowers at a fraction of the cost you'd pay a florist.
The bakery makes wonderful cakes and cupcakes. They're talented and can make pretty much whatever idea you have. They've made my daughter's birthday cake for the last several years.
I always receive wonderful customer service. The employees are helpful and friendly.

The lady working the bakery this morning had absolutely no clue what she was talking about. I was told when showing her a picture of the cake I needed to have made, that I would first need to go to Walgreens to have a photo copy printed off for her and I told her I have always had cakes made at Publix and have never been asked that because they always just take a picture with the bakery phone for you and she said they don’t do that which is a lie because I drove to Athens and they immediately took the picture from their bakery phone and got started right away with what I needed. Please educate your workers on how something is done because I will not even bother going back to this bakery.

Good fruit selection. Was denied the purchase of alcohol because my ID is a driver's license from Alberta, Canada and I didn't have a passport on me. Besides the lady who was bagging the groceries, telling the Cashier I needed a passport to buy alcohol I was unable to find anything online or anything saying that I would need to possess a passport for the purchase as while traveling I have it locked away not bring it to the grocery store. If requested I would have been able to present my Canadian Healthcare card that also has my information on it, my visa card that also shows my name on it, my social insurance number (also has my name and proof of Canadian residency on it) however was told they needed to see a passport. Would anyone be able to explain to me if this is actually a rule that Publix has?

A great place to shop. Always clean and neat. Good produce. But I have one question. If I am parked in a handicap space, it means I don't get around very well, right? Why, then, are there NO cart corrals anywhere near these handicap spaces?

So I just went to the Publix in Florence, Alabama on 4/27/23 around 2pm and let me tell you I WAS FLABBERGASTED! Ari at the deli legit had a smile on throughout the entire order and even gave all kinds of recommendations. I’ve seen good customer service but THIS HIT DIFFERENT on so many different levels of gas. The building was super clean but it’s easily overshadowed by the customer service. I mean they have to be giving these people drugs for this level of happiness. I personally work customer service and for me to secrete this level of love and care into a sandwich I’d have to be guaranteed 1 million dollars and a Bugatti. Jokes aside WOW! 100/10 from me bro and Ari needs a raise for sure.

Very clean store, very organized and had everything I went for in stock even with a few extra options I've never heard of before. Staff was very kind and friendly. All around a great place to shop.

We LOVE our local Publix!! The moment you walk in the doors you can feel the “pleasant-ness” in the atmosphere. I’ve never encountered a rude, unpleasant or unkind employee while shopping there. The store is always fresh and clean feeling, the aisles are always full, fronted and faced, which makes for a very pleasant shopping experience. Managers are ALWAYS visible and available at the front of the store to be helpful in any way they can, not sitting in an office while everyone else works. Anything we purchase from the bakery, deli or sushi bar is always fresh and delicious. We will most definitely drive past Walmart, Target and several other grocers to shop with Publix ????
