R Bistro used to be a sit down restaurant. Now they are located inside the Piggly Wiggly in Fairhope. Their food is either refrigerated or frozen. It is the BEST food I've found anywhere in a long time. Their crawfish gravy is as awesome as it sounds. Put it over some fresh cornbread and hold on! The duck gumbo, OH MY! Fish bread and shrimp/corn chowder is so good. DELICIOUS doesn't do it justice. Go now! You WILL NOT be disappointed. Last but not least are the fresh made desserts. EVERYTHING is so great! I can't wait to eat all we have so we can go get more!

Delicious food. Good coffee. Very friendly staff. We had the wonderfully dark duck confit gumbo, shrimp and grits and the crawfish gravy over biscuits. The coffee is delicious and has chicory in it. The bread is wonderful. The crawfish gravy is a signature item and is fantastic. Really enjoyed our meal and already looking forward to the next time we can come.

If you're in the Fairhope area, visiting R Bistro is a must.

The service was excellent. Our waiter, Matthew, was very personable, best customer service I've had in ages.

We ordered the artichoke dip which was melt in your mouth delicious. We also ordered the duck confit and filet mignon special. The filet and duck confit were very tender and the mushroom risotto was cooked to perfection.

Such a pleasant surprise we found today! We had the steamed oyster appetizer that included some spinach, the Mac and Cheese was LOADED up with crawfish and the grouper Ruben wrap was fabulous!
Side note: we took back to the Grand Marriott Resort several fresh, daily made pastries made by the Owner’s daughter who studied in Chicago as a pastry chef and makes all of them daily!!! Highly recommend this treasure!

Great restaurant in a wonderful location. Enjoyed sitting outdoors indulging in rich, chocolatey dessert. Amazing. Delicious food. Love the healthy meal options also. Enjoyed walking through the Italian style alley and shops nearby.

Had an exceptional Saturday evening meal at R Bistro. Everything was on point. Still thinking about the lobster mac-n-cheese!!

Go for the shrimp and grits with crawfish gravy... and stay for dessert! We had dinner here and loved it— got the crawfish beignets (unique and pretty good), crab cakes and shrimp and grits. Shrimp and grits was the real star, and expensive at $22 but quality so it’s worth it. And the “peanut butter bomb” dessert from the sweets/pastry counter up front was amazing. Great place for a nicer dinner or celebrating something, cozy but fun vibe, good service.

We celebrated our 56th wedding anniversary here for dinner! The service was awesome, the ambiance was terrific and the menu is great ???? The service was excellent! We will go out of our way to visit again for dinner ????????
