Went here on a recommendation while in Gulf Shores. It was worth the drive and only waited 20 minutes for a table inside. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly.

Started with a cup of lobster bisque. Very rich and creamy with decent pieces of lobster throughout.
The catch of the day was Snapper, so had it blackened and seafood topped. The seafood top was good, but the blackened was the table favorite!
We also had pan seared tuna, which was good, but my only complaint was that it was too much meat for a tuna steak. I wished it was half the size for a better cook and experience.

We finished up with key lime pie and turtle cheesecake. Both of which were fantastic and was a table tie on which was the favorite.

If you are down in the area and looking for fresh caught seafood, then this is your place. They did have a live band outside that evening but were not obnoxiously loud. We were inside and could not hear them.

My sisters and I were recommended this place for our girls trip and we loved it!! It is off the beaten path, quiet and perfect for a relaxing dinner after a long day at the beach. Our food was delicious! The cocktails were perfect! Our server was great and I’m sorry I don’t remember her name. I hope to visit again one day soon! Oh, we also had the shortest wait time here for the week - about 15 minutes! (The firecracker shrimp and key lime pie were wonderful!)

A big Mmmm-Mm! I don't usually do long waits at a restaurant, but I was assured that this one was worth it. Unfortunately, we hit the busiest time, 7 pm on Saturday, but as promised, it was worth it. Even when we waited outside on a drizzly, steamy day. So that right there says a lot.
For starters, we shared the crab claws, fried green ???? and peel and eat ???? between 5 of us. All were excellent, and the fried green tomato was the favorite. The main course selections for us were the tuna steak, pecan encrusted fish, stuffed pork chop, and blackened shrimp. Again, there were no complaints. All was very exceptional. The tuna steak comes with a sauce that has a little kick. The pork chop is topped with a dressing that has apple flavor. The blackened shrimp is pretty spicy. I don't know how many different ways you can say delicious, but this meal deserves every one of them!
Our waitress was very punctual on getting us what we needed and helpful with ordering food and drinks.
Prices are in the $$$ range, understandably for what you are receiving. The location is off the beaten track. Parking was a tiny bit challenging. There isn't any charge for parking. The hostess taking names could have used a big dose of happy juice. She definitely was not interested in making friends. They have (uncovered) outdoor seating, but it wasn't being utilized due to the rain. This most likely factored into our 70-minute wait. I would love to visit on a sunny day. It appears that the sides of the building might open up for open air covered seating. We heard many folks mention Tin Top as being their favorite. I might agree with them.

We eat here a lot but never posted. We usually do lunch because dinner gets really busy. Small place so be ready. We got chips and caso and tuna dip for a appetizer.
Wife got coco-loco shrimp with fries. I’m-law got the club sandwich with fries.
I got the blackened fish tacos with coleslaw. Almost got a bushwhacker, they are good here.

This is my favorite restaurant when we go to the beach. The Coco loco shrimp appetizer is an all time fave! The raw oysters are excellent. For my entree, I always enjoy the porterhouse seafood stuffed pork chop with a side of collards and Gouda grits. My husband and son got the AYCE catfish and my daughter got a shrimp dinner. All selections were delicious and we left there full and happy.

Maybe I had set my expectations too high but I had been hearing about Tin Top for a couple of years. This was our first time dining there and I can't say that I was impressed. While our service was stellar, the food was just OK. We enjoyed the gumbo, the Caesar salads were good but the entrees fell a little flat. The tuna steak was one honkin piece of fish flesh and I'm sure it was pan seared according to the chef's liking. However, I like mine just a bit more done (personal preference). I also like the seasoning to be a bit robust with layers of flavors to compliment the tuna. The accompanying sauce did little to add anything. The crab cakes were tasty but the side of what was supposed to be Gouda grits should have been labeled "plain grits". There was very little cheesy goodness. I'm not writing Tin Top off as I would come back but would definitely try different dishes.

Locals here. We come here a lot and have always enjoyed this place. But tonight our server was the rudest person. Took 10
minutes to even be greeted and she brought 3 waters and walked away never saying her name or anything. After another 10 minutes she appeared and we ordered appetizers.
Appetizers came and we tried to order the special but she said they were out however, she could come up with something similar no problem. We were excited. She came to the table a total of 2 times and when our food was delivered she slammed it down and walked away without asking if we needed anything.
Seemed in a bad mood. Took 20 minutes to get us another glass of wine. The amazing manager kept asking if we needed anything and checking on us. I believe Justice or Justin was his name. She had an attitude even bringing boxes and our ticket to us. Ticket came and we were charged a total $30 for the
"special" she said she could come up with. If I had known how much the sauce with crab meat was going to be on my steak I would have said no. She made it sound like she could just do it for us. Even when we had empty glasses of water we saw her stare hunched over at the bar but not even come our way.
We love this place but super disappointed in the service tonight. We were celebrating my dads birthday. I've worked in the service industry and would have never treated a table that way. I also would never leave a review like this if it wasn't this bad but it was. Food was amazing and management was outstanding.
We will be back just not this server.

Visited this restaurant based upon a local's recommendation. The service was outstanding from the bartenders to the host to the waitress. Traveling from WI to AL, we were looking for some great seafood and this was the spot! My family of 5 found something they all enjoyed from the apps to entrees. I had the shrimp po boy with a side of steamed royal reds. Outstanding to say the least! Highly recommend this restaurant to the out of towner looking for their seafood fix (or great steak!). Well worth the price you pay! Chef's kiss.
