Look no further. This is what you have been missing. It is a great restaurant located minutes from the Summit and Hwy 280. Something for everyone on the menu. The service was great and the food was even better. Our meals were prepared perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Next time you are near 280 plan a visit.

Heirloom tomatoes and burratta appetizer was delicious, and for the entrée, possibly the best Porkchop I have ever had. The Old Fashioned(s) were perfect and the Molten Lava Cake was amazing. Staff was attentive, food was out quickly. Birmingham... you have a gem here!

We had a very nice time at Satterfield’s tonight for my husband and I’d 2nd wedding anniversary. But….

I made a reservation explicitly saying why we were there, but when we were seated the hostess didn’t even look up my reservation so I doubt they knew about my special occasion, so we got seated in the worst area in the hallway where the staff are flying right beside us from the kitchen to the bar. Which was a bit disappointing. We ordered the Fritto Misto as an appetizer and were very happy with it. The sauce was perfect and everything was fried well. My husband ordered an old fashioned and said it was nice. Then our meals came. My husband ordered the crab cake, and I got the filet. His was perfect. The dish made sense, the portion was great, and everything was cooked perfectly. My steak however, was not. The steak was VERY rare. So I sent it back. I got my steak back about 5 or so minutes later, ever so slightly less rare. It was fine so I ate it. The Demi-glaze was far too salty, so it kind of threw off the flavor of everything else. The asparagus really saved it as everything on the plate would’ve drowned in umami flavor. The waitress brought me back some unwrapped silverware since they took my original set with the steak, and the fork I got was dirty, so I had to wait another few minutes to flag someone down for a new one. The manager(I assume)was very polite and made sure everything was right. We were graciously given two deserts of our choice for free, and we chose the Affagatto and the Creme Brûlée. The Affagatto was amazing, but the custard with the Creme brûlée was very warm, almost hot. The sugar topping was perfect though. Overall a bit disappointing for the money, and for the occasion, but the manager was very kind and helped make our night there better. Four stars only because of him

Satterfield's is an elegant "white table cloth" atmosphere restaurant where you will get fantastic service and a scrumptious meal. When I visited for a celebration with spouse and friends multiple years ago, menus were printed up with a congratulations message specifically for our table. The service at that time was highly personalized. When visiting last night, the meal and atmosphere were fantastic as would be expected, but when I made the reservations, I informed them that we were there for a birthday celebration. A fact which we reiterated to our server. Nothing was said or noted about it. While I would not expect them to go to great lengths, it was disappointing to miss that little personal touch.

Tonight was an unexpected surprise. I was invited for a business dinner and had never been to this location before. Upon arriving I quickly noticed that this was a high-end upscale restaurant. It did not take long to realize that they would live up to my expectations. The server was both attentive and provided helpful information regarding entrées and selections. I started out with the beet salad. I had the beef tenderloin as my entrée and finished off with beignets and ice cream. The beef tenderloin was tinder and cooked to perfection. This was truly one of the best steak I’ve had in a long time, and I did not regret my decision choosing this entrée. This evening was a great treat, and I am very grateful that I was able to experience everything that this place had to offer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly unique dining experience.

The very best restaurant in Birmingham! Food is exceptional, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is wonderful! The Blue Crab Cake with yummy mashed potatoes and spinach was simply delicious! Our waitress Abby was so impressive with her knowledge of the Cuisine and she was just so nice! The ambience of Satterfield’s Restaurant is elegant and yet relaxing! Great Experience!!!!!

Food was absolutely delicious and the service was prompt and accurate. A wonderful place for lunch. The poor valet lady was very overwhelmed but she was extremely organized and efficient. Even had a private room to accommodate our group for our work-lunch meeting

My wife and I dined for the first time at Satterfield’s tonight to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and first date as parents.

We started with a dirty martini and old fashioned, both very well made. We enjoyed the oysters for an appetizer. For dinner, we each paired a glass of red wine with our entree. My wife enjoyed her Pinot Noir with her perfectly prepared medium-rare ribeye. I ordered the slow roasted beef short rib, which was wonderfully complemented by a Malbec; it was probably the best dish I’ve had in Birmingham! So good, I didn’t bother trying my wife’s ribeye (though, of course, I did share a bite of my dish with her). We finished with the blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream.

We had very friendly and attentive service from our waitress, Sophie (thank you!). The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will undoubtedly be back.
