We had an intimate wedding dinner in the Parlor Room and it was a fantastic experience! The service and food were both excellent! Wonderful atmosphere to top it off! They let us come in early and decorate too. Thank you to Teri and the rest of the staff.

Fancy feasting. My son and I enjoyed our brunch. This place was truly a great dining experience. My little picky eater, enjoyed all of his food. Great dining experience for adults and kids. The flavors of the food were so good.

The atmosphere here is quaint and cozy. It is a warm, inviting restaurant, and the staff are attentive and go above expectations. I was there for a business dinner, and the table ordered the crispy Brussels for an appetizer, and while the flavor was good, they were more steamed than crispy. I had the braised short ribs entree. The ribs were tender and easy to cut; however, I found the sauce a little too heavy and overbearing. The mashed potatoes were a good pairing and were delicious. The night ended with their bread pudding, which I would highly recommend to anyone. It had just the right amount of ice cream on top. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their entrée.

We were passing through on the move across the country and wanted a nice meal. We have high standards as we have lived in Austin for the past few years and have become accustomed to delicious food.
We made reservations and had an incredible experience. The attention to detail and the impeccable service with Bindia made our experience top-notch. The presentation was terrific, and we HIGHLY recommend this delicious food to anyone ready to have their taste buds explode with pleasure.

I called to make reservations for a party of 12 on a Saturday night and was thrilled that they were able to accommodate that size of a party during prime dinner time. The reservation was for my fiancée’s mom’s 63rd birthday and none of our party had ever eaten here before besides me. Allie was our server and she was very sweet and accommodating. My fiancée and I ordered a few cocktails: a French 75, a glass of their Syrah, an old fashioned, and a Manhattan, all were wonderful. We also ordered the mushroom turnover, delicious. We split two entrees, the lobster ravioli and the short rib. The ravioli was unique and delightful. The only reason I’ve knocked a star off was for the short rib, it was such a disappointment. We love short rib, it is typically so flavorful, tender, fatty, and juicy, but this was almost difficult to eat. It was dry and tasteless, and definitely did not live up to our expectations. Also, I like crispy veggies but many of the brussel sprouts were just burnt. No one else at the table ordered it, so I’m not sure if it was a fluke but my fiancée and I agreed that we were very disappointed. It almost made us fear trying the restaurant out again. Dessert did make up for the disappointing short rib somewhat. We ordered the Mississippi Mud Trifle and French press coffee and both were phenomenal! Overall, we really wanted to like everything and I really want to give this review 5 stars, but I just can’t. This restaurant is solid and has many wonderful items, please try it out! Just don’t get the short rib.

My fiancée and I had a 10:45am reservation on a relatively slow Sunday morning at Galley & Garden. Upon our arrival we were greeted by two hosts at the hostess stand. After letting the host know that we had a reservation for 2, the gentleman asked would we rather sit inside or outside. I responded that we would prefer inside. The gentleman looked at his seating chart and said “yes, I have the perfect seats for you two”. The “perfect seats” ended up being the seats nearest to the kitchen, where the most hustle and bustle occurs. Every 25 seconds there was someone urgently breezing past us, directly behind my chair.
I had an issue with this simply because the inside of this restaurant is quite large, and they’d been open for only about 15 minutes so I didn’t see any reason for us to have these “perfect seats” nearest the kitchen. We essentially had 2 servers, one that seemed to be well versed and quite familiar with how things worked. Our second server had only been a trainee up until today. We were actually the first table she’d served without direct supervision of a trainer, however, she did awesome as a new waitress. We had the option of ordering the 2 or 3 course meal.
My fiancée and I both decided to order the 3 courses. Apparently the hot water heater was malfunctioning so the coffee was lukewarm. Our waiter brought more coffee out but it was the same warm coffee as the first cup. The French Toast was well plated and had a great taste and texture. The portion size was perfect. For the second course, I decided on the salmon cakes. They were cooked to perfection and served with a side of fries and a tasty remoulade. My fiancé ordered the oysters and a side of fries. The oysters were cornmeal battered and they were wonderful. Very fresh tasting and were perfectly fried. They were also served with the remoulade.
For the third course we both ordered the bread pudding, which essentially was the French toast with no syrup, but instead was served with pecans, a small amount of their bourbon sauce, and vanilla bean ice cream. Just about the time we got our desert our waitress said she talked to the manager and they adjusted the hot water heater. The third time ended up being the charm and the coffee was very good. She explained that they served an organic espresso, and it was brewed individually for each cup to guarantee freshness. Overall the food was quite delicious, however, if we would have know that the bread pudding was the French toast just with ice cream added, we would have ordered something different for our 3rd course.

Met friends for dinner. Food was visually beautiful and tasty. The cocktails were out of this world. The Dylan absolutely knew his Bourbon.
