This place was obscenely delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and nicely decorated. Jake T really took care of us and answered all of a questions with enthusiasm. We highly recommend the beef fat candle, the burrata, and the roasted peaches! The other items we ate were very delicious too but these were the stand outs.

I regret not taking more pictures during my visit. The dishes were plated as beautifully as they tasted. The beef fat candle was both captivating and delectable. The sheer novelty of experiencing a beef fat candle is unique, and I haven't come across it elsewhere to my knowledge.

As for the rest of the menu, the bone marrow is another appetizer highlight, although it wasn't available during my previous visit. Nevertheless, the hanger steak and scallops I ordered were exceptional. I would gladly order them again.

What makes this place even more special is the joy of sharing and exploring dishes with others at the table. It fosters a sense of togetherness and culinary adventure that elevates the dining experience.

Beyond the food, the drinks served were equally impressive, complementing the overall dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, providing a comfortable and warm setting to enjoy the culinary delights.

In conclusion, Chris Hastings' OvenBird is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates inventive cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere.

Inside was a little loud, but it was way too hot to sit outside. The patio space is gorgeous. Maybe in another month or so. Burrata almost had a christmasy holiday flavor that was nostalgic. We could not stop eating it! Empenada filling and sauce were tasty but the dough was a little thick. We highly recommend the hanger steak. Yum! Scallops were cooked perfectly and paired nicely with the gazpacho. The paella was a bit salty but a generous portion for the price. The sauce on the roasted potatoes was the highlight of that dish.

What I like about this place over its sister restaurant Hot and Hot Fish Club is that Ovenbird is more of an a la carte tasting menu. Smaller portions so you can try more items! Our bill was roughly the same at both places, but we were able to taste twice as many things. Will definitely return!

Awesome food! We loved all the 5 dishes we ordered. Paella, ceviche, empanadas, roasted potatoes, and flan. Service was efficient and friendly! Will come back.

Really great dinner here with a lot of options for vegetarians. It was very reasonably priced, and we loved the diversity of items available. Our server was very present and helpful, and we felt very well taken care of. I recommend the gulf fish and tomato salad!

Every dish was fresh out of the oven/fire which adds great flavor, service was great we sat outside! Smaller portion size so make sure you order 2-3 dishes per person!

I haven't eaten at Ovenbird in several years. The experience was wonderful and made me wonder why I hadn't been back before now. The beef fat candle is a must-try. The burrata was delicious, my husband didn't even want it and ended up eating most of it. The scallops and mushrooms were amazing. My only complaint is that my husband's food came out after everyone else was almost done with theirs. I understand that the food comes out when it was ready, I just don't see how it took so long for his dish considering we all ordered together.

Excellent place for a group dinner. Food was top notch, especially the paella and fideos were exactly like high level restaurants in Spain would prepare them. The candle is awesome and one of the tastiest things I’ve had in a while. Their basque sagardo (northern Spanish cider) import tasted exactly as it should. And drinking wine from a perón is always fun - especially with people who’ve never tried it. The place is a bit pricey for the quantity you eat, but we were not left hungry and for the quality, it’s worth the money, especially for an occasion. The waiter was also very nice and attentive and he explained all the plates when my friends didn’t know what to order. Would certainly come back.
