We rented the new handicap accessible Rhein Lake cabin for a weekend in mid October. The cabin is the largest public use cabin we ever been in. The big belly stove warmed us with minimal effort. The trail was a great ~the lake was even better ~a wonderful place to kayak ~ This winter we plan to do this again and take advantage of the groomed cross country ski trails. Nancy Lakes Recreation is Matanuska Susitna Gold.

Beautiful park. The camp host was friendly and helpful while I was staying in the campground. It was clean and quiet, except for the occasional train passing by. The lake was nice to take the canoe into for some fishing.

So many good trails to hike or canoe!! Nice clean campsites. Lots of wildlife. Such a pretty place

While I love this area, I do wish the state would invest more money in its maintenance and upkeep. Some improvements to the cabins and some clean up for the portage trail would be awesome.

Great place for a lot of fun. Just so beautiful and a good place to hang with the family. Lovely lake and cabins

Beautiful but rough hike. We ended up carrying our daughter because she was unable to traverse the path. Luckily we had her carrier and we're able to enjoy 30 minutes of moderate hiking. The trees were dense and beautiful and the lake was breathtaking. It was cold but enjoyable to stick your feet in after a hike.

Only a few lake access campsites. Most other campsites are best for RV. We did find a great site for tents, C12, and that seemed to be the best one. Large sand pit for the kids to play in, plenty of bathrooms, and the lake is very peaceful. Had a wonderful time kayaking. There's a boat ramp and canoe rentals if you're not lucky enough to get a campsite with lake access.
