My first time dinning at the big Lake Family Restaurant, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably, one of the best Country Fried Steaks I've ever ordered. The mashed potatoes and gravy are the closest to homemade you'll find eating out (I think they are homemade for the record) My wife ordered a Rubin Sandwich. She says it was delicious as well.
Cute place with all the old time decor, a few of the things I spotted, I played with, as a little boy. I'm certain this will become a regular stop when we visit Alaska, ( 3 or 4 times a year right now till we build our retirement home soon )

It has been many years since I've been here. Big changes and love the retro look and feel. The service was top notch and the food.... where to start. The Mexican food I ordered was excellent both in the amount and flavor. The onion rings are made on the spot fresh, YUMMY, best onion rings in the Valley in my opinion. My other half ordered the Original Philly and was larger then anticipated. Was good but a tad salty, I took a bite and agreed. Wait staff was excellent and not over bearing, 2 thumbs up there. I would recommend this place as a nice place and you get good food and is priced right. My food was worthy of tipping not only the wait staff but the cook got a tip personally delivered.

Everything you expect and enjoy about the classic American diner. Old stuff from another time on the walls and shelves, the good ole slightly battered but comfy booths, that old-timey feeling. You know just what your meal should taste like and it doesn't disappoint. The coffee stays hot in your cup and no one rushes you out the door once you've paid your bill. My kinda place for breakfast on the weekend ????

Great little restaurant, people are nice and the food hits the spot. Can’t go wrong with a good diner breakfast.

Breakfast service is great with Michelle being the server but there is a blonde with a serious attitude for someone who doesn't understand her job. Food is pretty good the majority of the time. Give Michelle a raise!

Seems like a great family restaurant environment. Went for this recent Father's day with the family, waitress said she went to go get a highchair for the kiddo, never came back. I found it myself. No big deal. Water was given immediately, coffee was ordered. 30 minutes later luke-warm coffee showed up and never was refilled again.

2 hours later our food arrived, never saw our waiter the whole 2 hours. Thankfully we brought snacks for the kids.

A scramble was ordered, but a small ommelette showed up.

I heard great things from everyone about the food and the portions, but was all around disappointed. Maybe a new cook? Maybe only 1 cook? I might give it a shot on a regular day not so busy.

Great food, friendly staff & a good/relaxing atmosphere!! Lots of cool antiques and things to check out while you're waiting for your food as well!! Super neat stuff to check out!
