Not the prettiest town in Alaska but definitely one of the most interesting. The drive up through the railroad tunnel is cool and so are the town’s historic buildings. Good hikes around as well.

Whittier is so tiny when a huge cruise ship is docked at the Port of Whittier Deep Water Dock. I've never seen a cruise ship arrive or depart, but I'm sure it's really neat to watch.

Beautiful place with many fun activities. Don’t forget to check tunnel hours and make reservations in advance.

The port itself is much like any port for large ships but the ride from Anchorage to Whittier is beautiful. And it's always fun to travel through the one way tunnel.
