We had no expectations BUT the Inn was actually very nice, comfortable, clean, and spacious ???? We also saved some money for parking to join our glacier cruise. It is walkable from the Inn to the boarding area in the Cliffside Marina. I'm glad we decided to stay in Whittier!

We made a last minute reservation here when the Whittier Inn was water-damaged. We came to kayak. We walked through the hotel and smelled a lot of smoke. We called to cancel and had a hard time getting through. Finally a local person who knew the owner called for us. The woman on the phone said there was never any smoke and said she had never had one complaint and all the rooms are full and kept our$150 saying we’d already been charged even though we hadn’t checked in yet as it was early in the morning. The whole place restaurant, upstairs bar and rooms smell badly and need cleaning. We asked around and found a condo to stay in that was slightly better and smoke free. Until and unless Whittier Inn opens, I don’t see any place worth staying at in Whittier.

Basic room, easy to check in. A little pricey but one of the only rooms left when we went down for my daughter's birthday. Should definitely consider offering an "Alaskan locals discount" especially since we plan on making this a yearly event for my daughter's birthday.

Not fancy if that's what you're looking for but the rooms are clean and the staff were be nice and accommodating. Earplugs may be necessary as there are big trucks and machines making noise, but not too bad.

If you weren't expecting more, it's just what you expected. Solid 2 star hotel.
My only concerns are when we pointed out there were candy wrappers left on the floor, manager said it would be taken care of. We walked around for 2 hours, came back and it wasn't. Ever.
Food at restaurant is good, highly recommend homemade lumpia.

Great water temperature and pressure. Room plenty warm, too warm.

This is where the locals eat. The best halibut fish and chips around this area. Very low key. Very casual. It's for the workers of the town. But a colorful place.

It was cleaner than our previous hotel in Anchorage, however the check in girl was not super friendly to us or her staff. Also when we went to shower the water was hot until we got in within 1 minute and it was ice cold - tried again in the morning and same thing happened.

If u get rooms one port side the work all night and keep u awake. No fan to kill the noise. The pictures u see online are fake
