These accommodations are in the one building in Whittier where most of the towns residents reside. It was a very cool, funky experience, that I would highly recommend. The building has a store and laundry facilities and if you get a harbor view room, you’ll have a fantastic view of the city, harbor and mountains. Plus, you’ll get the experience of driving through a 2 1/2 mile long tunnel to get there. Highly recommend.

Myself and riding buddy arrived in Whittier on June 19th after departing Homer riding in three hours of constant rain and cold weather conditions. When we arrived at the Whittier ferry terminal, we were advised we were a day early! Every room in town was taken and our only alternative was to ride back to Anchorage, some 1 1/2 hours away. Fortunately we were given June's name and we called her as a last resort. As it turned out she had a cancellation earlier in the day which turned out to be a life saver for us.

We quickly rode up to June's suite and met by the most wonderful host / owner, June Miller. June could see we were wet and cold and offered up her washer and drier to do all of our laundry and then invited the two of us as her guest to attend a pot luck dinner later in the evening.

From what was looking like a total disaster turned in to the best experience of our 22 day riding adventure. The two bedroom suite on the 15th floor was clean, comfortable and had all the comforts of home along with a big screen television. Even with the rain and mist, the view from the 15th floor was breathtaking.

I considered June Miller to be our "Guardian Angel" on this day in June and will never forget her kindness. She truly is an Angel!

June has been a gracious host, and is a great person! I recommend staying in one of her condos if you are ever in Whittier Alaska!!! God bless this woman!! ????????

June is awesome! She is so helpful and kind. We enjoyed our time in Whittier and meeting the locals. It was just a lovely stay.

We booked months in advance and happened to call the morning of to check on which amenities were provided. June had cancelled our reservation without letting us know. Unfortunately there was an illness in the family, which we understand, but now we are scrambling to find another place to stay.

nice place to stay in a fishing village. realize its an apartment building but hey. the owner of these rooms is wonderful and extremely helpful. views on ocean side rooms are amazing. stayed there with my wife and 2 children and had a blast for the few days we were there.

My daughter and I stayed at June's Railroad Suite for 6 days the end of August. It was great. June was a delight to meet and told us a lot of the Whittier history. We were on the 15th floor and the great window view over looking the town was fantastic. We could see everything (boats, trains, cars, trucks, and helicopters). The tunnel was very interesting and we learned how to plan our in/out of town trips around "tunnel time". Weather was great, people were great and the scenery was out of this world. I'll go back anytime. (Would love to see that area in the winter time.)

Husband and I have been guests at June's for many years and we prefer staying with June vs Whittier Inn .
due to the "home" like feeling. June is very pleasant and very knowledgeable when it comes to fishing and shrimping as her and her husband used to own a fishing charter business. All of her rooms are clean and comfortable
