They have managed to keep this place family owned and it shows! The staff is super sweet and very patient! Food is great! They are willing to work with diet restrictions, and food is very consistent each time I go here… A++

We have tried every Mexican restaurant in Juneau and have been disappointed by food and service. This place was great! Both food and service was excellent. Looking forward to going back.

The resteraunt was good, I guess you don't come to Alaska for the spanish cuisine. I got the 2 cheese enchiladas, was ok. Thought it was interesting the enchilada sauce was made with peanut butter, so if you have a nut allergy you may want to skip this dish.
The wait staff was very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would probably go back just not for the enchiladas.

The food was great, but the service outshined our meal. Our servers were quick, thourough, and very friendly and personable. Excellent family evening!

My go to Juneau mexican restaurant. Favorite is the carne asada, but super taco is a big hit, too. Amazing servers and the cook is clearly a pro. I highly recommend it.

So I'm from San Diego where we have the best Mex food! Of course I had to try this place in Alaska. I was not disappointed! The best salsa ever! And my chimichunga was delicious!

On vacation from Florida and we were really missing Mexican food. El Sombrero didn’t disappoint. Great tasting food, huge portions and quick service.
