My husband and I had a fantastic date night here last weekend. It was the first time in a long time we didn't feel rushed and were able to relax and enjoy the night. Service was impeccable, and the timing of everything was spaced out perfectly. I had the daily pasta special with reindeer and shrimp. It was delicious. To drink, I tried the Tokyo Cherry Limeade and definitely recommend! My husband had a rack of lamb, and while he enjoyed it, he ordered it rare and said it was a little overdone for his taste, but still very good. We shared a calamari appetizer and it was very tender and cooked well. We will definitely return.

Great staff and ambience!! I had the obligation of trying their prime rib while staying at the Springhill. The best I’ve had this far north. Very well done Lavelle’s!!

Place is nice, food was really good, chocolate mousse was delicious. Our server was perfect, a very energetic and friendly senior super helpful, we really enjoyed having him there

The food was fantastic! I sat at the bar and Hannah took good care of me. I had the clams, caesar salad, and meat loaf. Clams was one of the best I've ever had! ❤️

Our waiter was the best we could ask for, the Catalina sangria was the best I’ve had and the pasta of the day was really good!

Unfortunately me and my boyfriend had food poising for either the butternut squash soup or the lemon berries desert that we both had. It ruined the 3 following days of our trip!

When we came to Lavelles, we weren’t extremely hungry so we decided to just stick with a few appetizers and a dessert. We got the calamari, the lavelles salad to share between the two of us, and the ahi. That amount of food was perfect for us to stay satisfied but not overfill ourselves. We also had room for dessert, so we got the banana bread pudding. I also want to add that our waiter was the best, so we were very happy with the service! And the bread was delicious ????

We have gone to Lavelle's several times in the past when it was more of a bistro rather than a local restaurant.
It definitely has lost the bistro feel and has turned into just another Fairbanks restaurant.
When we called about a reservation, we asked for a private table. Our table was behind the host desk and next to a 20 top. There was nothing private about our dinner, from beginning to end. The traffic of those going to the bathroom passing by our table, wait staff traveling by our table, kids literally loitering in front of our table and playing hopscotch on the tiles.
It was difficult to have a conversation due to the 80s music playing at a higher volume than what would be expected in a bistro setting and the noise of the 20 top next to us. I saw and heard other guests who were upset about the noise and unable to have a relaxing meal.
We were patient with service but had to wait for about 45 minutes after ordering before we received a salad. Then our entrees came before the appetizer. The appetizer showed up after we had already started our meals. Our meat was cooked very well, but we requested medium well, and it was tough as a result. The vegetables were definitely overcooked, especially the baked potato. The dessert was okay. Had our server not been so nice, I think we would have walked after the 30-minute wait of having to get our order taken.
Next time, we will make reservations at a more fine dining establishment in Fairbanks.

I heard so many good reviews of this restaurant so we decided to try it. I am in love! The chefs know their flavors! We ordered Crab, Chicken Champignon, and steak and we loved them all! The steak was exceptionally delicious! Ceasar salad was the best I’ve had yet! Desserts were phenomenal. The food made our hearts so happy! I am 9 months pregnant and wasn’t comfortable at the table they sat us at, so we asked for a different table and they made it work even though it was a very busy night. We will definitely keep coming back to Lavelle’s.
