A well stocked supermarket with a seating area with utensils and sauces provided for having your meal. You can get a proper lunch box for less than $10. There's also a soup and salad bar, bakery and a fresh seafood section. Fruits tend to be expensive though. You can get a cup of coffee from the cafe inside the supermarket too. It's within walking distance from downtown although it might be difficult to walk there during winter with slippery ice on the sidewalks. It's the only proper supermarket downtown as far as I know though.

One of my favorite places to visit in Anchorage! Fantastic service! So friendly! Really great prepared deli food and hot bar! Amazing seafood counter that will vacuum seal fresh fish for travel! Wonderful variety of foods! The coffee and Cafe located inside is terrific! They have delicious salmon spread in the deli counter as well!

I went in to pick up lunch and some fruit today. The cashier told me that because the peaches are 5.99 / lb, they’re $19. I told her that I’m not paying almost $20 for 2 peaches, so she took one off. It turns out that she was trying to tell me that my total was $19 and change. I got the feeling that she didn’t think that I had the $20 to pay for my food or something like that. She was insulting and someone needs to teach her how to say “Your total is …” and tell her that she shouldn’t make assumptions about what people can afford.

Finally I’ve found great store in Anchorage. I’m from Downtown Los Angeles and this store 90% correspondents my expectations. Other stores targeting local population, this store is great for fastidious travelers. Recommend! A+

Love the Italian pastries. The un sold pizza dough they sell so I can use in my wood fired pizza oven at home is also very nice!

Very helpful employees! Modest selection; the midtown location certainly has more variety and more specialty foods/items, nevertheless a nice market.

Matt at the meat market is a rockstar! So helpful, and shipped the fish to Texas!! Enjoyed coffee and worked a bit too!
