A local Anchorage park that provides a wide selection of trails for all levels of fitness. Great for running, walking, hiking, biking, and skiing ( xc and downhill) in winter. Multiple points of entry, connects to Chugach state park, and connects to the Tour of Anchorage.

There's a nice stroll into the town of hoonah and some scenic totems as well as a small Harbour. If you're wondering about the gondola, it's more than the little glide above the green. Take the red, it goes straight up. Some say it's better than the zip liner.

I love this trail system! There are plenty of trails to choose from and most are very well maintained. Beautiful and great for a walk. ????

Beautiful park with winding trails that transport you away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This park is mostly forested with many miles of marked multi-use trails and a ton of smaller social/game trails that are fun to wander. There are several different trailheads you can start at depending on what kind of scenery you're looking for. Definitely bring bear spray and stay alert, there are lots of bears in the area.

One of my favorite places to just get off the beaten trail and pretend like im in the real bush. Its bit littered for my liking, and I know there is at least one questionable hobo, who you can hear the angry screams of if you listen closely enough, but hey, it's still a city after all, none the less I love this place and head out for it every free day I have.

Very fun,started out confused with the trails and trying to stay off the ski only paths. Once I figured out the map, there were so many trail's to take. You can make your hike a short one or go all day. Cool variety of trails, nice upkeep and great pedestrian environment.
