Lovely Lake, short trail, and a small playground. Good for going on a walk, fishing, small boating, and checking out the small wildlife. Sometimes there will be bears roaming about throughout the year so watch out for the signs.

Very nice lake on East side of Anchorage. Big enough for kayaking or canoeing. I would not recommend swimming there due to the huge amount of algae. I have seen moose, ducks, birds and fishes there. Very nice open trail all around thhe lake. It is close to buildings but nothing that ever bothered me. I have seen people fishing there but I believe it would be small ones.

I live near here and visit often. This is a very healing place. Peaceful and picturesque. Popular spot during the nice summer days, and breathtaking during the Fall season. The lake is stocked with small trout for fishing, and in the wintertime some come here to ice fish and to ice skate. Beautiful park, and we in East Anchorage are very fortunate to enjoy our time here.

Definitely a nifty little spot! Well maintained, burn barrel, ice skating, doggy fun! Who knew! Fantastic place to take fungi pics too!!!

I love going to this park, definitely one of my favorites. There is a nice trail that you can walk or bike on around the lake, it doesn't feel overwhelming or underwhelming, i will say, a lot of bugs at times but still, it is a nice park

Great for fishing, kayaking, bird watching, one eagle visits regularly and kids friendly. Neighborhood safe and friendly.

had to use Google lens to find out these are not ducks, but red throated grebes. They didn't sound like ducks, but they looked like ducks to me. Thanks, Google Lens.

For the most part it's a good place to take your smaller kids to play and have a picnic..
However the number of POT smokers is on the rise. The other day there were 3 people on a table.. two were fishing and smoking pot the third was a young girl who was just smoking and kept the pipe lit.

Watch out for bears on the East side..
