This one is a tough one between a 3 and a 4 but at the end of the day, it needs to be a 3.
From an Indian food perspective, there was nothing really exciting here! I know I’m being a hard critic here but I get excited when I go to an Indian restaurant and my expectations are high, I admit it. The appetizer menu options were OK and it tasted OK. I got lamb curry and other members of my party tried other variations of the curry, but all of us had the same impression that it was all OK, nothing that stood out as that curry that we have been searching for that is incredibly good!
My favorite part of the meal honestly was the non-bread they did a great job with their garlic nonbread. The restaurant is pretty small so seating is limited, but I give them kudos for trying to incorporate the Indian culture with pictures of Indian art and Indian landscape and even a TV on an Indian channel.
Service was great, they are patient and helpful when you are experiencing new Indian foods.

At the end of the day, for someone that hasn’t had Indian food that much I think that they would enjoy it and I would recommend that they go.

However, if you are an Indian food lover, I’m hoping that I can find a better option for you in Alaska!

A though 3 one for this one!! It's best to eat Indian since this is " better" option in Anchorage city. But food quality is OK. We ordered appetizers - Momo's, Daal Soup..both were average.
Main course - Veg Thali, salmon curry , paneer matar masala and naan. Main course could have been better.

Hygine- Hygine wise they are OK. They have a restroom which was clean and hotel was ordinary cleaned.

Service- Service was ok too.

They could have very well done better with taste and less oil etc. But this is the only better option in Anchorage.

Fast service. Very friendly staff with warm ????
Paneer lababdar is a must try for anyone
Veggie Momos were freshly made and had tasty stuffing with a spicy chutney. Definitely recommend ordering them for starters.
Their masala chai is great and they make it by brewing instead of using masala chai tea bag mix.
Their thali serving size is big and can be shared with two people
We are definitely stopping by again before leaving Alaska
Samosa was refried and didn't taste good

On our recent trip to Alaska, we ordered some food to go from this restaurant. It was a long day for us as we had to wake up early, 5AM, to catch our flight to Anchorage. Then we spent few hours at the RV reservation. By the time we started our RV journey, it was already 6PM. Everyone in our group wanted to eat Nepali food before we set out on a RV trip of eight days. We picked this restaurant and ordered momo, goat curry, chicken maakhni, and garlic naan. We were all super excited to have Nepali food after such a long and tiring day. As we opened the food containers, first thing we noticed was the absence of aroma coming out of the food which was pretty strange for Nepali food. Some of us, avid momo lovers, started with momos and found that momos were cold......strange again. We microwaved them and dipped in the sauce and oh boy, that sauce smelled weird and tasted even worse. We could tell by the foul smell and bad taste of the sauce that it was just not made fresh but must have been either sitting outside of the fridge for a long time or was too old. Being a goat curry lover, I decided to start with the goat curry and rice. I would have forgiven the restaurant for the dry rice if at least the goat curry was good enough. It was nowhere close to the goat curry I have ever had in my life. They must have just added few goat meat pieces in the premade tomato sauce. The four pieces of goat meat, which costed us $19, had barely any meat in them. Then I tried the garlic naan and chicken maakhni. They were equally disappointing. Garlic naan was dry as a desert. Chicken pieces in chicken maakhni was equally dry too.

How could you be so bad at everything? We could have understood if the food had not quite met our expectations, but being that bad at every dish was beyond our imagination. We were lucky to survive the negative outcome of it. If we had fallen sick, it would have ruined our entire trip. I wish I could give the restaurant negative 5 stars. I am sorry I am saying this, but this restaurant is truly a shame to the Nepali community.

I hope the local food safety inspectors see my review and does a thorough inspection of this place. I also ask the restaurant owner to respond.

Ordered spicy food expecting food to be cooked under certain measures however they added green chilly paste in-order to make them spicy. My husband enjoyed the spiciness however i want able to handle the green chillies. Still ate it as we were craving for some spicy Indian food. Appreciate atmosphere and service.

I have been to a lot of places, but this was one of my bad experience. I wanted to like the place but couldn’t.

The food was average. Had to wait 1.5 hours after ordering. We were told main course would take some extra time and we ordered appetizers. But after 1.5 hours, main course came but appetizers weren’t even served. After reminding, the appetizer were served after the main course.

We ordered two vegetarian Thalis and some breads. Excellent food, I could not not imagine having such delicious home style food in Alaska! Highly impressed. Will definitely visit again.

Ambience and service also pretty nice!
