I found Penny Hardwoods on FB Marketplace when I was looking for 6x6 Cedar posts to build a backyard pergola. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here. From our first contact J.D. was informative and professional. He agreed to custom cut the posts I needed at a great price. When I picked up the lumber J.D. spent half an hour showing me and my five kids around his shop making each one of us feel incredibly welcome. Penny Hardwoods has an impressive selection of domestic and exotic woods. I will definitely be back.

Very helpful and courteous. Amazing selection of lumber. With this store being the only area specialty hardwood store, I expected prices to be high; however, the lumber was very reasonably priced and priced better than I frequently found at other places around the nation during pre-Covid times. Highly recommend.

Woodworkers paradise. In my area I have limited access to hardwoods that are random width and length. Most are already S4S and cut to standard width and lengths and are only oak and poplar and are very expensive. I accidentally stumbled upon this place while driving into Westfork. I shouted like a little kid to my wife when I saw the sign. We were on our way to a riverside park that was nearby but as soon as we were done checking that out we went back. They had a ton of scrap wood on the porch with great prices. Inside they had some awesome wood and some projects finished already. Walnut, hickory, cherry, maple, oak, sassafras, poplar and other species were all over the place. . I just make small projects but they had lumber for large projects also. I will be back as soon as I get the projects done with my walnut I purchased today. So glad I found them and happy that the prices are reasonable and the owner was great to deal with. I only bought 23 dollars worth of wood but he treated me like I bought 500 dollars worth. That says a lot now a days. Keep up the great work guys!!!

I’ve been coming here for awhile now, Jd and wife are very helpful and knowledgeable. They always have a wide selection of different species of wood , and I always leave with more than i planned on getting. Great prices, high quality wood , and awesome slabs. If you need any kind of wood this is the place!!!

We showed up just before close on our way home, just to pick up some supplies quickly. They were very friendly about it even though I know it had to be frustrating (I really try not to be that person). They always have a wonderful selection and we find something we didn't know we were looking for. I have several gorgeous rings now thanks to their beautiful selection. Definitely going back.

now this place is a wood guys fantasy. they have so many beautiful slabs and pieces of lumber and things to look at and it's just more than you can take in in one visit. I mean I didn't catch the guy's name that helped me out with some plywood I bought which by the way was a great deal beautiful plywood for a beautiful price. I met JD the owner and this guy is one of the nicest people I think I've ever met. I mean I'd never been in there before but it was love at first sight. I highly recommend if you want to see some cool stuff to go down there and check it out. five stars all the way

This place is simply fantastic. Huge selection of exotic hardwood lumber on hand. Antique furniture, Persian rugs, and old paintings for sale too. Stop in and meet JD, Ciara, and Penny. You will NOT believe this place!
