We had the best time celebrating our mothers here the day before Mothers Day. Our waitress was so friendly and professional. I forgot her name, but I know when she sees this, she'll remember us. It was my first time eating at Colton's, and I'll definitely come back. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken with a side salad, delicious. I tired my husband's rib, and they were delicious. Our food came out fast and hot. We appreciate each and every one of you. PS, those rolls are perfect. ????

What has happened to Colton's? This makes me so sad to post. The last 3 times my sister and I have been there it was no good, certainly not the Colton's we are use to and loved. The first time we were disappointed, we just chalked it up to a bad night, as Colton's has always been great, great staff, great food and beverage. Pretty much the same with the 2nd time, we thought maybe it was just what we ordered. We decided to give it another try... But the 3rd strike and they are out..That breaks my heart. It use to be the go to restaurant if we had people in town-as that is/was really the best "local" had to offer, if you didn't want Mexican food. All three times we had to ask the server to please wipe the table as it was so sticky it was awful-I can possibly understand the excessive stickiness because of the honey offered with their (amazing) rolls, but shouldn't they make sure the table is clean before seating your next diners?? Maybe use a bit of detergent to remove it??. All three times they brought a soaking wet/dripping cloth and wiped over the sticky surface leaving the water to evaporate only to be left with a still sticky table. The last time, we asked for extra cloth napkins and put them over the table like a table cloth, at least you could lay your phone on the table and it not stick. Each time we go, we typically order a couple of appetizers, an entree to split and a couple adult beverages. This most recent time/last time- We ordered 3 appetizers to share and two adult beverages. Smoked Salmon Dip, Texas Sized Cheese sticks and the Egg Rolls. The Smoked Salmon Dip (which is usually our favorite appetizer on their menu), was ok (other than the giant chunks of cream cheese from not being incorporated properly, but you could mash them up pretty easily with a fork), but the pita chips were burned an inedible, so we just used the dinner rolls to spread the dip on..trying really hard not to be "those people" who complains about everything, (as we had already asked for the table to be cleaned again and extra cloth napkins to use as a table cloth). THEN we get to the Cheese Sticks..are you serious, they had been cooked so long the cheese cooked out of them and they were nothing but hollow batter shells, COMPLETELY EMPTY/NO CHEESE AT ALL, I had no choice but to show our server the one I had bitten into revealing no cheese, so she reached on the plate and snapped the remaining cheese sticks, to see how many had cheese left in them!!!!! She determined there were 5 of the 8 that did not have cheese...and she brought us 5 more!!!! Yes she left the ones she had snapped in half and brought 5 replacements...Maybe it is just me, but wouldn't you have taken the entire plate back and brought out a new order..especially since you had picked up-touched-every piece of someone's food??? Nope, we got 5 replacement cheese sticks..Sorry that is so absurd it is funny.. LOL. The Eggrolls were just OK, nothing special, but after experiencing the other two items, I was happy to be getting "OK". Then we get the tab for almost $60.00 (before tip)..I have zero problem paying/tipping well for good food and good service. But between the sticky (gross) table, 2 out of three items we ordered unacceptable...I can say we will probably not ever be going back...I guess if you are eating local and would like an adult beverage with your dinner...Mexican it is.

My family had a day out today and we always stop here for late lunch. It's really good and the staff are very courteous. I had the loaded chicken today and onion tanglers. I have decided I prefer the onion blossom over the tanglers. I definitely recommend this place for a great steak as well.

My family group, which consists of my self, my daughter, my mom, and my aunts ( moms 3 sisters), and my uncle (mom's brother),and his wife, have for a few years now gone to Beebe, Ar for the Spring Flea market hop. We go to various flea markets there and then go have dinner at Colton's in Searcy, Arkansas We also do the same in the fall, usually in October. So this was what we did today. As usual, they didn't disappoint. I was extremely sated and needed a nap after all that, lol. The same lady that waited on us last time was our waitress again and she was great! It was a little busy, but we didn't have to wait very long to be seated. I can't say enough about the rolls with butter as soon as we were seated. They were fluffy, warm and the butter melted right away and they are delicious ???? just perfect! I had the Pasta Alfredo with broccoli, tomato and grilled shrimp added. SO GOOOOOD!! I also had the onion Tanglers as they are my favorite appetizer. So crunchy and just dip in the sauce they serve and I'm a happy camper lol. My Aunt had the cheesesticks with Marinara sauce and my daughter had an order of cheese fries. If you haven't tried this restaurant I insist when you find your nearest location please give it a shot. You'll be pleased you did.

Thank you to the staff at Colton's in Searcy Arkansas for coming in and staying open during icy weather, most places closed. The food was good and the staff were friendly and polite. Great atmosphere! Oh and my steak was perfect!

I want to start by saying our server was great. She was attentive and polite.

This was my first visit. It reminded me of Logan’s, but more “country”. They had a big neon sign that was partially out honoring JT Colton as some kind of champion. I reckon this is the namesake if the place. The rolls were pretty good. Our appetizer of salmon dip was disappointing, though.

My wife and I both got sirloin and shrimp. I got mine grilled, she went with fried. I got corn on the cob and a salad, while she got broccoli and a baked potato. When the steaks arrived neither were cooked as we requested, but we elected to eat them anyway. The steaks were very mediocre and didn’t seem to have any seasoning at all.

Our shrimp were both rubbery and overcooked. Hers were very salty with barely a hint of shrimp. Mine were burned and also only tasted like salt. Salt and charcoal. My salad was fine, but the corn on the cob was almost flavorless other than overwhelming salt. No sweetness, no butteriness, no smoke (advertised as grilled). Her potato was fine, but covering it in butter, cheese and sour cream likely helped.

I probably won’t be going back. In a place with few options this is disappointing. Again, the service was GREAT! My complaints were only to do with the food I was served.

We mostly enjoyed our food. My medium rare steak was more done but it still has a good flavor. We had to ask for more butter, more water, etc. but overall, our server was friendly and attentive.

We were a family party of ten celebrating two birthdays. I called ahead to ask for a table for 10 at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 16. I was told succinctly that they don’t make reservations period. Since our group was coming from Benton, North Little Rock, and Jonesboro, three groups got there early to sign in; at 1:20 we were told 40 minute wait which would put us at 2;00 when the 4th group would join us. I checked in about 25 minutes later to check on progress. I asked how they would contact us as 8 of us were waiting outside on benches. One said they would walk outside and shout our name. Another staff member handed me the blinking device. One of our group was an elderly woman on a walker. A few minutes later she and her son moved inside to the air conditioning. At 2:00 I went back in to check on progress as it had now been 40 minutes. I was told our table wasn’t ready and it would be 19-15 more minutes and was told we should have made a reservation. Oh boy! I tried! and was told they didn’t do reservations. The staff member changed her story to no same day reservations. None of us were happy as all of us traveled over an hour to meet there as a family. My brother-in-law who was inside with his elderly mother had watched them prepare a table for 10 that was ready at 2:00 and just set there empty. We finally were called to that table at 2:20. We had been waiting outdoor in the heat for an hour!! Either the employees at the front were being spiteful or they didn’t have enough wait staff to serve everyone. If it had been the latter, a truthful explanation would have been appreciated. A server, Flora, came up to get our drink orders. Then got appetizer orders. She was friendly, efficient, and organized. She also got all of our dinner orders correct. The food was good, and Flora’s service was excellent.

Colton’s is the best restaurant with a varied menu , we believe, in Searcy. We like that Searcy is our halfway destination for our family. However, we will have to reconsider this due to the misinformation shared during our hour long wait in the heat. Your hosts should be as friendly, efficient, and helpful as your wait staff. Please put pertinent information about reservations on your website.
