My wife had a delicious hamburger, and I had a pretty good foot long chili dog. All the chili dog needed were some cole slaw and fresh chopped onions, which would have made it a Carolina Dog. Hint, hint. The service was excellent. We'll be back.

Wow. Just wow. First, Cindy was just incredible. She kept our glasses full and took care of every request with a big smile on her face. The burgers were exceptional! We will be back.

Found myself in Mountain Home helping a client declutter her property so I can get it in the market. I wanted a hamburger, but we had her little poodle with us. Not a problem! The Back Forty has a back door to the patio area and pups are welcome!

Hamburger was so good, the fries were so fresh they were too hot to pick up with my fingers. The service was great! Kept us happy without hovering.

Next time I'm in Mountain Home I'll be headed to the Back Forty!

Everytime I come here its like being back home at a neighborhood tavern. Friendly atmosphere, nice food choice, GREAT BURGERS & Sweet tator fries, simple drink choices that help keep a steady pace. The servers are friendly here too. I do miss the pool table though ( dang covid craziness! ) Beer, Wine & Coolers here, NO HARD LIQUOR.

The food was great! But we waited an hour+ for our food and were there a total of about an hour and a half. Also saw people who got there after us get their food before us and were able to leave before us as well. They were apologetic and nice, but I just don't recommend going on a Friday night cause they said that was normal for a friday night. I just especially don't recommend if you have somewhere to be like we did. But the food was definitely worth the wait! Especially the fries!

My food was way undercooked. I got the chili size. The patty was way under cooked and awful. The place was dark and with the chili covering the patty I couldn't tell until I ate a few bites that it wasn't cooked. We was never offered a booster or high chair for our kids. It felt more like a bar atmosphere then a family friendly place.

Perfect medium rare and tastes great, good job!

Update: we have tried almost every burger in the area now and this one is still the closest to perfection you can get, made exactly the same everytime without error.

I visit family in Mountain Home every 3-4 months...I make this trip from Canada and every time I visit I make sure we stop here for an ice cold pint and an awesome burger!! Best burger I have ever had...straight forward, seasoned properly, nice crust and juicy...would highly recommend!!
