This store I thought would be better but has plenty problems. Always seems to be out of whatever you need. NO Dog food at all the past few days. Not enough parking less than the old store and employees park up front instead of around the side Really! Plenty room to add more because it's not even tourists season yet. Disappointed ????

A few years ago I gave this store one star. I reported it to the District Manager, and included photos. I recommended you shop anywhere but the Greers Ferry Dollar General.

Today I changed my review. This store is in a new building, built next door. There is a new store manager; I'm told the previous store manager still works there but is no longer the manager.

I gave it another chance, and I'm glad. It's expanded, the selection is better, but, the problems I found have been corrected or are on their way to being corrected. The aisles aren't being completely blocked with unpacked boxes, just sitting in the aisles; employees are actively stocking the shelves. There are ample carts for customers. Things are much better. It's a much better atmosphere. I'm glad I went back, and I'll return. I talked to an employee and told her about my previous review. She said I wasn't the only one who had been unhappy and to please "Give us another chance". I certainly will! I hope others will, too!

Stopped to pick up a couple items, got to check out, it was 5 deep for both registers, the self check out was non functional again. The kid on the right register looked like he was stoned or at best could careless, plus his register was down it looked like or he had no clue how to help the lady he was checking out with her issue. After 10 minutes and no movement, I put my items on a shelf and walked out, and three other walked out behind me. It's a new store and the self check out is broken most of the time. Maybe time for a new manager?

Very rude people! They don't want to work, but want to be paid. The store is trashy inside and out. To these lowly Dollar General employees..... Your life choices got you there! Don't take it out on others!

Decent little store. Busy, so often low or out of stock on popular items. Friendly staff that is helpful.

Love the new store. The produce section is great keeps us from having to go into clinton.
However the store will never be full potential until a new store manager is hired
Would be an awesome place but poor management keeps it from thriving

My only complaint is that the staff in the store are consistently unfriendly. They don't speak unless you speak to them first. And if you ask for help, they are snarky and act like you are really putting them out. In fact on the rare occasion that someone is actually friendly, it shocks me. We moved to Arkansas because the people here are always so nice, this store is an embarrassing exception to that rule.

One of the credit card machines has been broken practically since the day they opened the new store. Yet corporate is not doing anything about it and it's very irritating to try and use it. Also today I tried to do a split transaction between cash and credit card and the POS machine debited the entire sale out of my checking account after I gave the cashier cash money. And overdrafted my account. they are constantly having problems with the cash registers up there and I personally am tired of it. Likely won't ever go back.
