The best banana pudding I've ever had. Same with the fried pickles. Service is next level. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean. Loved the onion rings and the baked potatoes were cooked perfectly. Really nothing even slightly negative to say. It's definitely worth the stop, highly recommend.

Where do I start ? I guess I'll start with the beginning. We drove to Carlisle to have Nick's BBQ because we hadn't been in a pretty good while and we wanted to see the new building. We was immediately greeted when we walked in and seated. We sat for over 10 minutes before we were ever acknowledged and asked about our drink order. Our waitress Jordon got our drinks then took our orders. Cheese dip and salsa arrived fairly quick , this was the best part of our meal. Food arrives about 15 minutes after we ordered. Immediately I notice my food looks extremely dry and boy was it. Worst BBQ I've ever had in my life. I can't believe Nick's has gone to this level of quality. Jordan came and asked how was everything and I told her I can't believe how dry the meat is. She offered to get me different meats and I declined. My girlfriends fish was really good. The shrimp was bland so she didn't eat it. After about 30 minutes Jordon came around and asked about refills , finally , this was the only time we were asked if we needed anything until we received the check. Speaking of the check , WOW !!!!
104.85 for two people !!!!! The food was at best okay , I mean seriously the cheese dip was the best part , then the fish. My 36.99 plate of BBQ meats wasn't even worth taking home to my dog , seriously it was the most dry and bland BBQ I've ever had in my life !!! What happened to Nick's?? It used to be really good. Anyway when I gave Jordon my card she asked if we needed to go boxes or dessert , I told her the food isn't worth taking home , we only took the cheese dip and salsa , she never said anything and walked off.
My card returns and our ticket is now 107.47 because we paid with a card. Had I paid cash it would have been 97.16. When I asked why it went up she pointed out it was stated at the bottom of the receipt. Food wasnt worth 104.85 and the service didn't deserve a 13.00 tip. I mean WOW !!! Never again will I return to Nick's BBQ nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. What a wasted drive and a wasted 120.00.

This place is the best, what a great find, been here 2x on my travels and its just the best. I got pulled pork nachos on fries, the cheese sauce is out of this world. Fried pickles are great to.

After 10 hours of driving I didn't want a cold soul-less bbq pit stop. We pulled off the highway and the building was appealing especially with so many cars outside. Inside the atmosphere was homey, warm and inviting. The wait staff was friendly and patient. But the brisket... It was so tender and the flavor was rich and satisfying! I will plan to stop next time I pass through!

I had the chicken strips with fries and coleslaw. I really enjoyed the chicken strips a lot. They were tender, juicy and thick. Apart from the food, the service is good - not overpowering on customers but not following up on customer's take comfort. I will recommend ordering appetizers as the food takes a while to arrive. Overall, I give this place a 4 for the love of the food.

I have always loved Nick's
However this last experience left me hungry for days gone by.
Nick's has always given good portions with their dinners.
I was a bit shocked after paying $30+ w/tip to find a meal that only teased my hunger.
Was to be 3 pieces of fish. Unfortunately the fish wasn't 3 Fish fillets

This is the best bbq place we can stop at in a semi. The food is delicious and not over priced like some places. Highly recommended to everyone who is near or passing through Carlisle Arkansas.

Right off the interstate, plenty of parking. Service was great. Food was excellent. Catfish was fried excellent and easily the best fried onion rings ever, and they are big and crisp.
